Singapore is a wonderful place to dine. We can enjoy all races of food at any time and not subject to festive restriction. It does not mean that we have wait till Deepavali for Nasi Brayani. We were at Casurina Drive and saw a cozy dinning place. We ordered a plate of rice Brayani with chicken. We offered the drumstick but it was a skinny drumstick and wondered where had the meat gone to. The chicken was rather skinny, no meat. The chicken was dried as the gravy was not rich and thick.

I was around the area and was craving for some pratas so I decided to head back to Casuarina Curry. We ordered the Chicken cheese mushroom murtabak, cheese prata and egg prata. After hearing so much about Casuarina serving one of the best pratas and indian food in Singapore, of course I can't miss it. I was however disappointed after trying the food there. The pratas were served in a rectangle shape which was different from the usual squarish pratas (I found it unique). The taste however was nothing to be raved about and it did not win me over. I was hungry so had nasi goreng and skip the prata. The nasi goreng is $3 per plate. They fried it when ordered so it got a nice warm when served to me. The noodle is enough for me. They fried quite well so the texture was quite soft. It did not taste spicy. The nasi goreng got few slices of cucumber with tomato sauce on it. The cucumber still crunchy and fresh. Overall standard is good.

First of all, for a typical Indian prata place, this place has got one of the better service around. Hmm.. on a hazy day like today, I needed some curry to chase away the blues in a hurry. I decided to take a healthier option, a Masala Thosai. But it was not as I had imagined.Sad right? When I cut into the middle, the potato color looked weak and it definitely wasn't spicy enough. I tried piling on the dhal and sambar but it still didn't do much for my lunch attempt for $2.20.In the end, I asked for some fish curry. And that did the trick! Love this prata house as they serve a wide variety of different kinds of prata and indian flavoured rice and dishes. The branyni here at Casaurina curry is really delicious and the rice is aromatic as it is covered with the different types of spices and the mutton that is served at the side adds a nice taste and flavour to the dish. The runny egg yolk goes well with the rice and makes the dish even more delicious.The curry that is served is also delicious and yummy.worth a try!!!!
