Char-Grill Bar

This Char Grill Bar is one of my favorite place to patronize as its really very near to my school! That coffeeshop is rather empty, with only a few stalls opened in the afternoon and the food served at the other stalls are just simply normal. This Char-Grill Bar serves a different variety of food, ranging from burgers to pastas to chickens to fish at very affordable price. You can also choose two side dish for every main course purchased and the side dishes have been categorized into cold and hot side dishes. Cold side dishes includes garden salad and potato salad. As for the hot side dishes, there's California Raisin Rice, Cheesey Pasta, Onion Rings, Fries and Mashed Potato. We ordered the Ham and Sausage Pasta ($5) as well as BBQ Chicken Chop ($6). For the pasta, the tomato sauce used is kind of unique, sweet and also a little bit spicy. They are also very generous on the amount of ham given. Noodles were of great quality and dish was served quite fast. As for the BBQ Chicken Chop, the sauce is very 'SHIOK' and the amount of french fries given was also very generous. The Onion Rings are very addictive and it really tastes like real onion. As for the chicken chop, its grilled till prefect, accompanied by hot piping delicious BBQ Sauce. The fried rice fluffy cooked with small slices of ham, pieces of scrambled eggs and topped with a sunny side up egg.Two chicken wings stuffed with some meat and spring onions with fish sauce.Still trying to figure out what is the ingredients for the stuffing could it be fish, sotong or meat?The taste is similar to the ngoh hiang stuffing?Maybe the next order I will try to get the answer to this finding.Every chef has their own so called "secret recipe".Priced: S$6.90…查看更多

Went back for more take-aways from Char Grill Bar before the F1 race on Sunday.Just couldn’t resist having more of the western set dishes from Char Grill Bar. This is the neighbourhood version of Swensen.Most of the western food stall available from the neighbourhood coffee shops are so so standard. Char Grill Bar outlets have been blooming in various districts in the island. One of the very latest outlet at Blk. 445 Tampines St. 42.Harvest From The Ocean Grilled Fish with Lemon Butter Sauce S$6.50 with baked potatoes and baked beans.Sole Fish well grilled not overcook with a taste of freshness of the fish. The butter sauce added fragrant to the grilled fish. The two sides items of well baked potatoes and baked beans completes the meal.Char Filling Grilled Chicken Chop with Italian Herbs S$6.90 together with French Fries and Whipped PotatoesThe chicken meat well grilled. The Italian Herbs sauce dressing gives an additional freshness to the whole combination. The French Fries are soft in the inside but with a crisp on the outside and the whipped potatoes rich with buttery flavour.The setup of this new outlet looks so inviting. This newly Char Grill Bar at Blk. 445 Tampines Street 42 will be having a one day promotion for their Fish & Chips at only S$1.90 (dine in only) limited to one per person on 16th September 2013.I can imagine the queue for their Fish & Chips for this coming Monday and being near two schools the kids will have a chance for a very reasonable meal after school.Am impressed with the deco for Western Food right in the heart of Tampines neighbourhood.As you can see from the photo there are a wide selection of Char Flaming Grill Chicken, Baked Rice, Sizzling Steaks, Pasta, Giant Sausage, Harvest From The Sea, Local Favourites, Burgers, Soups and Choices of Side Items.For the first visit to this newly found Western food stall, I ordered Item No: 107 Crispy Chicken with Choice of two side items. I chose Mashed Potato and Coleslaw.My dinner cost S$6.50.On the serving plate was a huge piece of crispy fried chicken cutlet, juicy and tasty. A portion of coleslaw and the mashed potato has a very smooth texture, tasty with the right amount of salt and delicious and fragrant from the butter added to the combination.Expected waiting time around 15 minutes.Will go back for more. …查看更多
