The uncle is very friendly and the rice is very fragrant. Quite a decent plate of chicken rice, better than the Ah Tai chicken rice I had at Maxwell last week!! At only $2, this is a steal. The skin is tasty and the meat is juicy and succulent. The meat isn't dry. The soup isn't too salty or ladden with MSG. I didn't feel thirsty after this simple meal. Singapore is so famous of its chicken rice that almost everywhere that sells food, you can find chicken rice stall! haha, my school too, south, north and koufu selling chicken rice! Anyway, whenever I have no appetite for food or could not think of anything to eat, I will definitely go for chicken rice! For the south canteen, I like the soup alot! Ordered this roasted chicken rice when having our lunch break at south canteen. In fact, they are selling the chicken rice at a very very low price, yet the portion served is actually quite big. I prefer eating this chicken rice with the soup provided at the corner of the stall because the rice is kinda dry to me. Quite high in demand during lunch (service is fast, and price is acceptable), the uncle is quite funny though (because every person that walked pass the stall, he will ask the person to come and buy his chicken rice) environment is clean, cleaners are hardworking The fragrant of the rice is nice. The rice is slightly soft. The soup you have to scoop yourself, (quantity is up to you, there is cabbage and the soup is not salty though).
