Chinese Food - North Canteen (已結業)

It has been some times since I last eaten at this stall as it always has one of the longest queues among all the stalls in that canteen. But my lunch mate has told me that although the queue is long, it is very fast. He estimates that within an hour, the stall should have a hundred of customers. There is about 3 to 4 persons serving at the counter with another at the end collecting payment.Today I having deep fried mushrooms, sweet and sour pork and assorted mixed vegetables with rice for $2.60.

North canteen economic rice is very big in portion.But the taste is just normal only.The spinach is soft and a bit tasteless.But the Sweet and sour pork is quite nice,a bit sour and sweet.The blacken tofu is also not bad.I like the sauce to pour on the rice.Actually this stall's food is not really nice, but the price is really cheap.So,usually there will be a very long queue for that stall.

The Chinese Food Stall in Nanyang Polytechnic's North Canteen is the most crowded stall during lunch breaks.The queue is always very long!! I needed to meet my junior to pass him something at the club room and our club room is near the north canteen so I decided to go to have lunch at north canteen with my friend.I had ordered food from the Chinese food. The portion was just nice. I had order the fried egg, sardin and black sauce pork. The fried egg tasted too salty for me and the pork was tasted too sweet for me.Will order food from Chinese stall again because their prices are really very reasonable.

Super duper long queue during lunch time (estimated 15people) but amazingly, their service is very fast, around few minutes to my turn. Price is cheaper by few cents compare to outside stalls. Wide range of variety of dishes to choose from. The food is served fresh and hot, taste great too, rice given was filling and environment is spick and span (cleaners clear up fast)

Actually i prefer to eat the economic rice from north canteen rather than south canteen, because the portion served in north canteen is much more larger as compared to the one from south canteen. And most important thing is, their economic rice are cheap too. Ordered this for lunch. Fried egg with vegetables, sweet and sour chicken and pork with black soy sauce. Overall tasted nice, but the sweet and sour chicken is a little bit too sour for me.

If you are searching for the cheapest and largest mixed vegetables rice in Singpore.Please head to NYP north canteen !! As in it is cheap and nice .One meat and one vegetables only cost for $1.9 and give you curry + big bunch of rice !It sell variety of food including mutton, chicken and pork, vegetables like mushroom and tauge. It taste quite good.But the only thing is sometimes the rice a bit hard, taste not so good.

mixed rice! ($1.6 for 2 vege)Economic rice is sometimes good, coz i get to choose the veggies or ingredients i like. And there is a lot of choices so it caters for many people's like. The vegetable is a bit oily but still okay, coz it is nicely fried and fresh. The steamed egg with pork is okay only, the taste is bland.

I ordered the bean curd and mixed vege and soy sauce chicken with sauce ladled over the rice.I paid $2.60 for the plate of rice which consisted of 2 vegetable and 1 meat. The price was quite reasonable for the portion served. The meat was tender and fresh, the sauce was not too sweet either. The vegetables were fried just right, giving it a great taste.The stall was crowded during lunch hour, luckily we managed to find seats. The coffeeshop was not stuffy, therefore it was alright to eat there.
