I took a walk around the place to check the buffet counters out - a little assortment of sushi, sashimi, shabu shabu items, different soup base and some desserts, that was about it, in this vast, spacious restaurant.

 Our hotpot was boiling prettily with the ingredients we had tossed in - golden mushrooms, vegetables, shiitake mushrooms etc. While the Tonkotsu soup was tasty in a more gentle manner, the Shoyu soup was literally as its name implied - robust. The saltiness stunned us awake literally.

 We changed soup base just to try the other two - now Prawn Paste base and Seafood. The staff did not help to change so we had to DIY with hot water and more bowls.  Our second pot of soup began sizzling in heat again, and it was time to dump the ingredients in. The Prawn Paste soup was scrumptious but very salty as well. We solved the issue by adding in a glass of hot water. The Seafood soup was delicious as well, with the right level of saltiness.

 I also had a platter of Salmon Sashimi, Swordfish Sashimi, Squid and Sushi in Tofu Skin - the latter was rather nice but then the recipe was idiot-proof. The sashimi was disappointing - not fresh at all, and really hard.

In this Japanese buffet, it offers a wide range of Japanese cuisine food which includes sushi, ramen, Japanese steamed egg, curry chicken, salads and other main dishes. At the bottom of the steamed egg contains small chunks of meat and crabmeat. The curry chicken is well cooked and seasoned just that the amount of meat in the curry is quite limited. Overall the variety of food with such a low price is definitely worth a try for people who love Japanese cuisine food.

Paid a visit to this Japanese buffet restaurant for the first time. Food was fine, with fresh Sashimi being served in cups and the Green Tea tofu would leaves a lasting taste in the mouth. I am writing this with great displeasure to inform of my recent experience at Chiso Zanmai (Japanese buffet situated at Central, Clarke Quay) because the soup-base (ramen) is soya only. I thought their Shabu Shabu buffet has kimchi or miso soup base when my girlfriend and me were at the counter on Sunday 7.00 p.m. because I unable to call through their hotline 6221 3177.She simply asked us to top up $5/pax to enjoy unlimited servings on a choice of Sukiyaki/Shabu-shabu/Tonkotsu Hotpot for dinner

She simply asked us to top up $5/pax to enjoy unlimited servings on a choice of Sukiyaki/Shabu-shabu/Tonkotsu Hotpot for dinner with free flow meat and vegetables are included. There is free flow of drinks at only $1.90 which includes the standard available soft drinks and non-gassy drinks.

Therefore, my girlfriend made her payment first before our buffet started.

 However, it changed my rating on their services because the waitress was having confidence in serving their customers by rendering superior customer service "go the extra mile" for their customers. She knew that we did not like their Shabu-shabu soup, so she requested us to take out all the food inside the Hotpot and changed to Tonkotsu soup for our dinner. Subsequently, we tried to have the first sip of new soup, but left with a bad taste in our mouth and we decided not to do anything with our food in the hotpot.

Low quality or poor variety of food was being served. There are several sections spread in the buffet. There is cold section serving the salads and chilled tofu flavours.

I paid few visit to this most affordable Japanese buffet in town. It is conveniently located at Clark quay the central mall. Their prices range from SGD14.99++ to SGD29.99++. You may add on to free flow drinks by add SGD2.99.Their variety is good as the priced offered. Sometimes they do offer sashimi during weekday lunch time. You can get your fix if you are lucky.I love their matcha tofu and corn tofu. Their pumpkin salad is good too. You may try their soft ice cream with a lot of topping offer

I love their matcha tofu and corn tofu. Their pumpkin salad is good too. You may try their soft ice cream with a lot of topping offered too. 

They have a monthly special menus so you may get to try new things.

It's a good place for gathering with good view and environment. You can spend the entire lunch and dinner time with family or friends here.

The ambience of the restaurant was really great! It’s floor to ceiling glass windows reaches up 2-storeys high! This allows adequate light to shine in, really increasing one’s appetite. Furthermore, there ain’t any pillars or corners as obstructions. The seating area is a semi-circle area with the seats widely spread apart.
Food-wise, they had much varieties to offer, ranging from fried (fried chicken cutlets) to soup-base (ramen) to steamed food items (CHAWAMUSHI).

 Having looked through other reviews of this restaurant, it seems that this round, there is a lesser variety of food selection as compared to other reviewers.

However, I would still patronise Chiso Zanmai again because basically it’s food items really matches my taste and the price is really reasonable!!

 If there is any questions on the food, I would say it is as good as it looks!

The best thing is, each month you head back to the buffet line, it is a different spread so that you can get to taste different food all the time! Embarrassingly the spread you just say is for (*whisper*) June (*whisper*)

The usual price for chiso zenmai is 14.99++ so if you add free flow drinks is $20. But I didn't want the free flow drink so the price was $17.65 but they gave me a free drink anyway because I was so late into the buffet. Because the ended at 3pm. I tried the salmon sashimi and it was okay.. but they didn't refill it after that already T T so sad, probably because its closing soon. The desserts are nice! Love the soft serve ice cream added with brownies. Should have taken more icecrwam but they

I feel that there isn't really much variety of food for a buffet, but it might be because me and my group of friends when around 2pm, with only less than a hour before the lunch buffet end. Lunch is about $20 per person, which include free flow of drinks, but only around 17 plus without drink. I do find the raw salmons really tasty, chawanmushi is nice, and the ice cream itself is wonderful. But the noodle was a little cold along with some of the food, but maybe it cause of the timing. advise to

 I do find the raw salmons really tasty, chawanmushi is nice, and the ice cream itself is wonderful. But the noodle was a little cold along with some of the food, but maybe it cause of the timing. advise to go early next time for more variety of food, since they don't refill much of the food after 2pm.

Had a very fun and great lunch buffet with my fellow colleagues in this restaurant. Restaurant is cooling and the business here was really good and crowded. Range of food here are really a lot, range from different types japaneae cuisine. Love their cold soba which the noodles are really smooth and chewy. If I remember correctly, the theme was Okinawa when I visited the restaurant. On the whole, this is a good place to taste local delicacies of various regions in Japan at a pretty low price. On the other hand, it was a series of hits and misses for me as I found that some items were lacking while some did impress me. It pretty much depends on your personal preferences and expectations as to whether you would enjoy your meal here.
