Full review at http://lepakwithyaops.com/cho-kee-noodles-wanton-noodles-at-51-old-airport-roadFollow Lepak With Yaops on Instagram and FacebookRumor has it that there is a strong rivalry between Hua Kee and Cho Kee. Even names are in contention. Maybe it's a siblings rivalry? Both served fresh and springy noodles. However, Cho Kee had that extra Q. While it's noodle won my vote, but they can step up on their char siew a bit more. Perhaps, giving it a little fat will do the job.I believe Cho Kee is heading toward the healthier choice route, thus could explain the "dryness" of the char siew.As for Wanton and Dumplings, I both were plumpy and generous in portion. Thumbs up!Give their Special selection of noodles a try. They have the Spinach, Beetroot, Carrot, Seaweed and Multi-grain! 繼續閱讀

I met an old schoolmate for early lunch at old airport road hawker centre 11.30am today 2.12.2014.my friend wanted to show me the 2 good wanton mee stalls which were just few stalls away from each other. hua kee was closed, so we shared 1 bowl from cho kee. 4 wantons were good, soft, skin held together & tasty. char siew was good, and most importantly noodles was qq & taste was good. For me i felt the chilli was not spicy enough. This was about same maybe slightly less tasty than the wanton mee at KPT coffeeshop 401 hougang ave 10, S530401, and for me the best wanton mee was still kok kee previously at lavendar food square (not sure where it moved too). & the one at temberling road & red ring wanton mee were pretty good too.see my full reviews & photos at = http://chefquak.com/2014/12/02/guided-food-tour-of-old-airport-road-hawker-centre-on-2dec2014/ 繼續閱讀

We ordered the Wanton Mee ($4) at this Old Airport Road Market. The hawker centre is huge and has a lot of hawker variety here. The main problem is when your friend decides to sit all the way opposite of the stall you're buying from. There is little human interaction since it's like queuing digitally to collect medicine from pharmacy. The noodles was chewy, it's not amazing but justified cost. The char siew and wanton was nice. Usually I'd buy from both stalls since both portions aren't huge for a combined variety. Do note that this place is hard to get to unless you drive or you live in the area. 繼續閱讀

There are 2 wanton noodles stalls side by side each other and i have been wanting to review them since my office is just located nearby! I took my colleague's recommendation to try cho kee but i must say the stall owner really has a loud voice, not too friendly though Then come the food, i was served 15 minutes later after i ordered, i realize is not because of the long queue is because they are working very slowly, each queue number will take 3 minutes before they served the other customers. The char siew was very hard to bite on and the wanton was very small, you can placed 2 together in one mouth. The noodles was the worse ever, it was not chewy and a little hard. 繼續閱讀

There are 2 equally good wanton mee stalls in this food centre. This stall has got a numbering system. You just need to take a number then seated down to wait during their peak period.Their noodle is slightly thinner and more springy in texture with a distinctive eggy taste. It serves with 6 pieces of wantons for the same $4 but the size of these wantons was slightly smaller as compared to the other stall but equally tasty. It came with a good amount of sliced char siew though the texture of char siew kind of lose out to the other stall. It was a little dry in comparison. The chilli tasted of the right level of spiciness. It was still a delicious bowl of wanton mee nonetheless. 繼續閱讀
