It was absolutely delicious! The spiciness of the curry was just right for me and amount of curry sauce was also sufficient. If you spot those yellow blobs in the curry, that was the cheese! Yummy! Loved it when I sank my teeth into it, and its strong flavour burst out in my mouth! The pork cutlet was not over-fried, so the batter was crispy and not hard. Meat within was also thick .
This curry rice taste different from other japan curry rice that is too sweet. This curry rice is thick and taste good. But must be careful in term of the selection, cos some after a few scoop, would feel sick about it, as the favour is too rich.
New item on board, Curry Udon was currently sold at $10. I suppose to try this, too bad I saw it just after I ordered. Their service was quite prompt, a bit difficult to cancel my order as they were already preparing my food.
I picked level 3 for the spicy ranking, I prefer Omelet Selection. Generous amount of clams and softly cooked Tomatoes soaking in the gravy, overall was mouth-watering. Fluffy rice was wrapped inside, pipping hot savoury. Interestingly part was that, rice portion was flexible, counted by grams. The average cost was around $15.00, absolutely affordable.
It was quite cold so I ordered the hot milk tea.. I think it's a bit overpriced for normal lipton tea with milk.
They have a wide range of meats you can order with your curry rice, and I ordered one with chicken cutlet. For the spiciness level, it ranges from 1 to 5 and I decided to play it safe and go with 2. It was really good, with the chicken cutlet fried to a glowy golden colour and the meat was tender and lean. The curry wasn't too spicy considering it was only at a level 2, and had a decent taste to it. I would recommend not reducing the portion of rice so you can finish off all the curry in your meal. One minor issue I had was that you had to pay for a glass of water, but the excellent service by the staff more than made up for it. You can also pay $4.50 to add on a drink, dessert and salad to your curry rice if you crave more variety.
Not only do they look delicious already, they taste even better! The omelets are fluffy and feathery soft, and the rice flavourful and moist. The curry is sweet with a tinge of tangy spiciness. For the fried chicken cubes, the texture is crunchy yet succulent...without being too cloying.
You'd think it's too much to have eggs and chicken in the same dish, but here the chicken and the omelet complement each other perfectly. We got the ice lemon tea and the mini salad at the side as well... The ice lemon tea is the authentic one... they served the milk separately to allow us to add however much we like. 
We have found our Japanese curry fix. Will definitely come back!
Then again, I'm always up for trying new things and I think my most favourite seafood curry rice has to wait.
Japanese curry is the only kind of curry I would ever eat, since it's not as spicy as the other curry you would get in Singapore. They have a unique combination of curry with ingredients you don't usually find in Japanese curry such as spinach, bacon and even tuna. Well, I wasn't that adventurous and decided to go for a more traditional Omurice + Tonkatsu set which I thought was just OK - I'm not much of a curry fan anyway.
which was very good ~ tasty and substantial, perfect for taming a growling stomach. The pork cutlet was lean, evenly coated with crunchy panko breadcrumbs and fried to an attractive golden colour. The curry was smooth, tasty and concentrated, coating the rice grains thoroughly. I helped myself to the container of their crunchy, homemade pickled radish which was the perfect side dish for the hearty meal. This is my idea of comfort food for all seasons/all weather.
Always loved japanese curry as it's not spicy like the normal curry we eat and it's a little sweet as well. And I've been wanting to try coco ichibanya's for a long time!
I insisted on getting the pork cutlet with cheese! You've got to add $2 for cheese, but I'm an avid lover of Cheese and it's soo delicious and sticky. Yummy! There's also different level of spiciness.. a low-level is quite spicy already, so you can slowly build up your level of intake!
The chicken cutlet also has the same type of curry too.. anyway, don't belittle the portion. It appears quite small at first but it's found to be extremely filling after you eat half of your rice mixed with curry and the cutlet. You can also add additional rice for $2 but it's really not necessary unless you are a dinosaur.
