Anyway, here I'd like to talk about "the place" to have crocodile meat in Singapore. The place called Crocodile Kingdom and located at Old Airport Rd. Hawker Center. They are specialized only on cooking crocodiles in various styles. We ordered black pepper crocodile for two people like the one above to have the taste of the meat of this paleontological creature. The dish was garnished with a lot of vegetables and onion besides black paper and sauce. Although all of the ingredients had dominant touches on the taste of the plate, it is still hard to get the taste of the crocodile.

Was recommended there by friends to try out a very exotic dish.Crocodile Kingdom is one of the few places in SG which serves crocodile paws.Yes you said it right. Crocodile feet! It is cooked in herbs served in claypots for just S$40.One look, the skin really do gives you the creeps but when you bite it, it is soft. Understand that the layer under the skin is full of collagen so ladies, you just have to sacrifice further for beauty. The soup is a little bitter due to the herbs used but guess this is nothing compared to the crocodile paws, right?

I was at Old Airport Road for their highly recommended Rojak when I decided to try something different for a change! I've always been adventurous in other areas of my life like love, travel, work and friends, and so I thought it was about time to push my boundaries and keep up in the area of food!I saw the Youth Olympics Games article written by OpenRice's editor (http://sg.openrice.com/singapore/restaurant/article/detail.htm?article_id=27) and decided to give Crocodile Paws a go because that is very reason why I avoided it in the first place: the look of it scared me to death! But alas, I ordered it. Okay, I confess, I couldn't gobble up the whole thing like how my boyfriend could, but at least I managed to snip off a little tiny bit. In my defense, it was my first time trying anything exotic, so go easy on me buddy.The skin was thick and tasted like sea cucumber while the meat was a little tough and if I didn't know any better, I would have thought that i was chicken! The owner, Mickey was a friendly chap and eager to share with us stories of where his crocodile stuff came from and how beneficial it is for our health! He cut up the paws for us.The soup was bitter as most ginseng herbal soups are.I dare you to try this!

Had this delicacy with 3 other of my friends. CROCODILE PAW, $40/claypot! AWESOME! Never expect this reptile to taste so delicious! The broth was exceptionally herbie just the way I like it. The flesh has the chicken-like texture but slightly softer and it also has a slight flaky quality like fish! Very very interesting. I love the skin the most. It is thick, rubbery and wobbly. Well besides crocodile paw, they also have other cheaper dishes but all cooked with crocodile meat only. ME LIKEY! WILL BE BACK AGAIN FOR MORE CROC-CY DISH.
