The humble stall was really not good-looking, with few dishes displayed. There was no lining up like other famous stall, but I noticed it did attract elderly customers. Boss was a middle-aged man, he handled the stall by his own from prepared foodies to served customer. Surprisingly, it was selling healthy brown rice. Kept in warm, the food tasted well especially the minced dried shrimps. Flavoursome spicy and it fitted brown rice perfectly. Ladyfinger was unfortunately overcooked with a little mushy texture. Flat Tofu was okay, not too salty and bite-able soft. With a complimentary soup of the day, total was $2.50. An economical lunch indeed, I shall try out their signature curry next turn.

The problem with dismal looking stalls are that only the people in the know (i.e the local residents) patronise these stalls. When I observed several old people buying from them, I decided to join them and try it out, figuring that there are probably only 2 reasons why they bought: good or cheap. This stall was actually bordering on good without being too expensive. I ordered some greens and fried chicken cutlet. The cutlet was quite hot and crispy. The greens are decent tasting.
