Been wanting to come here and finally get to arrange a visit with a friend. Being the greedy me.... I went ahead to order Sautéed Brioche French Toast with Salted Caramelized Bananas, Fresh Berries & Vanilla Ice Cream.It's a really BIG portion and i had to pack some home cause i can't finish it. I love anything with salted caramel so that day it didn't take me long to decide what to eat. It was yummy! I’ve been to their pretty shop – with highly magnified prices – before, read the dismal reviews everywhere on the blogosphere – and I still went because I was drawn to an image I saw online of their pancakes. it was a regrettable experience, and one that’s made me feel quite a bit foolish.the pancakes seemed commercially pre-made and were rather stodgy, and the smoked salmon sandwich with scrambled eggs terribly salty. we left wholly disappointed – and it was a pretty expensive meal, especially for what we got – and so the emptiness of the cafe even at dinnertime (yes, I like breakfast for dinner) is rather justified. pretty place, pretty food, terrible taste – perhaps you might be better off going for their cheese counter or charcuterie and doing a takeaway with all their gourmet products. just steer clear of the food.…查看更多

Whenever I feel like having burgers for meals, Dean & Deluca's beef burger will first come into my mind. The burger bun will always be toasted till really nice golden brown colour and is slight crunchy too. The beef patty is the winner secret for this burger. So juicy and tender even it is so thick slice, and also very fragrant too with not much 'beefy' smell in it. With the crispy french fries to go along with it, this sure will satisfy you.…查看更多

Dean & Deluca at Orchard Central is a combined cafe and grocery concept store iconic of New York culture and lifestyle. The expansive array of cooking implements and the availability of less common condiments, makes the grocery section a dream come true for casual home cooks or chef wannabes.The cafe section is spick and span as well, offering a range of western staples including salads, pastas and entrees such as meat and fish. The food however, was kind of lacking in the taste department.Nicoise SaladNot being a raw vegetable person, I didn't really try much of the salad, so I would just withhold my opinion here.Lagsana al FornoVery disappointing indeed. The layers of pasta sandwiching beef bolognese just turned out mushy. The beef was just too pasty to give any form of texture. US Choice RibeyeIt's a warning sign of sorts when you order Ribeye and you aren't asked for your choice of how you want your steak done. My ribeye was served nearly totally well-done, leaving the choice piece of meat dry in the mouth except for the sauce it was served with. The only redeeming factor was the charred edges which tasted nearly crispy.Broiled Atlantic SalmonAgain disappointed with what I though was a safe choice of fish. The salmon wasn't cooked as long as it should have, with much of the insides nearly totally raw, to the extent of it affecting the taste of the cooked portions as well.At $15 per pax and a place like Dean & Deluca, this standard was certainly not what I was expecting. Ordered the French Toast Brioche, served with a dollop of Vanilla ice cream, generous serving of caramel, bananas and strawberries.To start, I wouldn't recommend this dish as lunch as it is VERY sweet (unless that is what you are looking for).For one person, this dish is impossible to finish. The caramel is very very sweet and makes finishing the bread-soaked caramel impossible to eat.This is probably good for tea for 2 - 3 persons. THis is one of my favourite American Breakfast, as the food here is simply delicious! The service here is good and my food was served to me in just ten minutes. The restaurant outlook looks trendy and is spacious as well. Love their egg omelette as it is not too wet nor dry, and filled with the nice fragrant of the milk used in it. Felicity.This was a central setting for the characters in the show and I had the impression that this was no different from a regular Starbucks.But stepping in to their brand new outlet on the 4th level of Orchard Central saw me walk through their grocery store aisle before getting to the main seating area of the bistro. So now I know. Dean & Deluca is a gourmet coffee/pastries shop mixed with specialty food products. There were meats as mains and sides on display. The sandwiches all wrapped and... ready to be reheated. I don't know about you but this was sorely unappetizing for me. It's like being in the deli section of a regular supermarket. Except this was gourmet. Which really just meant the prices were of a gourmet standard. And that's really just as far as it goes.I wanted a bacon apricot roll and to my horror, I see the chef picking the last remaining one up with his tongs and that cleared the plate on display. So let's just settle with the one right next to it.Quiche Lorraine. This was savoury. Good on taste but otherwise, the puff pastry was a bit thick to the bite from the reheating. Bacon bits were good. And nothing else really. Light bite it was.And tempted though I was to pick up the breads from Maison Kayser that were on display, I decided I didn't need to spend that kind of money here after an unsatisfactory $8.20 slice of quiche.And then there was the luscious looking rounds of beef tenderloin.Just at $12 a pop, they looked like a real steal.And while we were debating on the side salad with a list price of $18, we only realised at the counter that they charged the weight of sides by grammes.I'm not sure if that applied to meats as well. But all the portion sizes for the mains (meats/ fish) were standard on display.Turns out the side of grilled chicken salad was just $3.With an array of graps, olives, green apple cubes and grilled chicken, I'd be happy eating just the salad really. :)The beef? It was well done. Overdone perhaps. The sides were crisp and dry. And the meat within was just notquitetough yet. I enjoyed the meat more than my quiche. Dean and deluca is a New York's style cafe.It is very clean and beautiful.I like the decoration there.After a long shopping, we feel really hungry, so we start to order food.As expected, the food is expensive, so we also not dare to order so much as we are still student.orange carrot $6 iced cafe latte $6I like the orange carrot,it taste very fresh and healthy.As i drink it, i taste orange smell first then follow by carrot at the throat.Nice and fresh..!But the ice cafe latte is just soso only,maybe im not really like latte.BBQ chicken panini $22This BBQ chicken panini is huge.It looks so attractive and delicious.Ya,indeed, as it looks, it taste very nice.The bread outside is neither not too thick nor too thin, it is just right.And the chicken is really juicy and tender, so when i bite on it, my mouth is full with the BBq taste.But as it is really too huge, i cant finish it, not because not nice, is my own problem. I heard so much rave about Dean & Deluca. And since I was just around the area after my Yoga class, I just had to drop by and experience it for myself.I'm amazed of their varieties of spices & chocolate! Their products are sourced from all over the word. Just naming a few, US, Greece and Italy! Don't have to blink twice when you see their prices alright. They are not cheap! This 50-seater cafe is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and yes not forgetting their brunch and high tea on the weekends. The variety is fairly extensive ranging from cakes, pastries, gourmet dishes and salad.Oh, do know that not all of the baked goods available were produced in-house. Some are sourced from gourmet bakeries locally such as Baker and Cook, and Maison Keyser. Some of them were specially baked for Dean & Deluca, how groovy is that?So i ordered a simple Chicken Burrito. It really look like a simple dish! I just had yoga so i take it light hur! The meat filling was generous blanketed with cheese and finally wrapped with a crisp toasted wrap. A warm cuppa white mocha latte to accompany along with the dish and i was just on cloud 9. My friends ate this. I find it ok though. The sausage and bacon is too salty. Scrambled egg is ok though. First time seeing this clean and fashion cafe restaurant, I told myself I am gonna dine here one day. So here is the chance, i went with my two sisters to have brunch together.
