It was my first time trying out dessert at this stall as I'll usually resort to ice-cream or frozen yoghurt for desserts.They serve both hot and cold desserts but I went for the former. I bought a takeaway as there wasn't any seat available. It was a Chinese-style water chestnut dessert with ginkgo nuts. Dessert Story has a wide variety of desserts, both hot and cold. They sell cold desserts like assorted flavors of shaved ice with toppings as well as traditional hot desserts like almond paste, sesame paste, peanut paste, etc. They also sell hot snacks like chee chong fun, steamed yam cake and more.I ordered some takeaways to bring back to my boyfriend's place. One serving of chee chong fun and yam cake each. The chee chong fun was pretty good, moist and chewy, didn't taste too starchy. I like their quality of chili sauce too. Many a times, I just walked by without noticing this shop but one day my friend point it out to me, and said that I should try Dessert Story, he has tried the mango shaved ice before at another branch and he liked it.So both of us and sat down, it can be quite busy, and we did wait for a corner table so we can sit next to the water feature.When my mango shaved snow ice arrived, it's very similar to the dessert stall at Chinatown, wavy crystal like snow ice.
