Laksa $4.30. I'm not sure if the standard of their laksa had gone downhill or because it was just the different cook. The laksa was too rich in flavour which made me a little scared as the taste lingered on my tastebuds for quite some time. It was spicy but there was something that was just lacking. There were many ingredients in it but the taste of the laksa seemed a little off. 繼續閱讀

Was feeling hungry after work and decided to head to the nearest 24-hour eatery around - E.A.T. Anyway I went around 11.45pm and there was a long queue, extending to near the entrance of the small cafe. I ordered Fishball Noodles - Dry ($3.30) before it was announced that they ran out of fishballs. The people behind had to make do with Bak Chor Mee. Anyway the cooking took quite some time and by the time i was seated with my food it's around 12am. As you can see, it's quite crowded despite it being 12 midnight, though the queue has somewhat subsided. In the Fishball noodles, there's like 3 fishballs and quite a few fishcakes. I like the fishcakes better though. Maybe they are just pleasant to eat while the fishballs is a bit tasteless. The noodles didn't taste that great also. Although i saw that the chef added a full spoonful of chilli, it's still so-so only. But given the price, i think its not too bad already. They also supplied a bowl of the soup (not pictured). The soup tastes al-right i guess. But one thing that does not appeal to me is the wet trays. It just gives off a unhygienic feeling. 繼續閱讀

They sell pretty good noodles here so I was quite disappointed when their laksa ($4.30) fell below my expectations. I had meefen mian for the choice of noodles and the noodles were overcooked. The laksa gravy was quite bland too, lacking the coconut flavour and spiciness. There was half of a beancurd stick, some cockles, fishcakes, taupoks and fried sliced pork in it. I will probably give it a second try but not anytime soon. 繼續閱讀

EAT is a chained stall and has been mushrooming in malls and MRT stations eateries over these few years. I was mislead by the scene where there was no queue and agreed to my friend's suggestion of having our lunch in EAT. To my horror, there was actually a long line of orders lined up on the ledge waiting for preparations. Self service were not required for fried items and they would serve right to your table. Though crispy and delicious, these hot from the oil pot items were greasy and best to be eaten once in a blue moon Cost: S$1.00 (Dou Zhi), S$1.60 (Ngoh Hiong)It took about 15 minutes before our lunch was served. Service was slow. Minced Pork Noodle's standard was so-so and nothing special to me. My friend had ordered the same thing but hers came with an additional fishball. How lucky! Cost: S$4.30This was our total spending. Overall, if you want to avoid the noisy and messy food court environment, EAT is a good alternative to dine in especially in Jurong Point. 繼續閱讀

EAT is a common eating place for me as it is near to the MRT at Boon Lay. It is located at the exterior of Jurong Point and it is kind of a cafe style. All self service with cleaners to clean up the bowls after diners have their meals. Good place for families as the chairs are movable. I always ordered the Fish Ball Noodle set which includes the thin noodles, fried wanton, fish ball and some meat in it mixed with tomato sauce. Served warm which is a plus point of this cafe. The customers turnover is quite fast so there is no worry of not getting a seat. 繼續閱讀
