It was another one of our Dinner cum Chillout nights and this time, the recommended venue was Everything with FriesWe had to wait in line for a while at the casual restaurant / cafe as it was crowded with eager diners. It was another one of our Dinner cum Chillout nights and this time, the recommended venue was Everything with Fries

We had to wait in line for a while at the casual restaurant / cafe as it was crowded with eager diners. The stark white setting was comforting, giving a clean cut yet relaxing feel. When we were seated, the polite and friendly crew came over to take our orders.

We started with a round of different flavored Fries (SGD$5.90 each) - crispy and very tasty shoestring fries - Garlic with Herbs (sapid scrumptiousness of its flavors), Salt & Vinegar (delicious, like eating potato chips in that flavor) and Curry (not spicy, but resplendent of the curry fragrance).

The Grilled Pork Chop (SGD$17.90) was another delicacy that surprised us. Note that I am not a fan of anything pork, but I made an exception for this crunchy, tender, juicy, well-marinated pork chop. It was served on the side with Sour Cream fries, enhancing the taste of the dish to another level entirely. I liked this pork chop well enough that I actually returned with the Beau just to eat it again.

We ended the meal with a bite of heaven - Nutella Tart (SGD$4.90) - it comes with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream now. The tart is richly infused with chocolate's deliciousness, and comes with a crunchy crust. The sticky coat of chocolate sauce is the very essence of life for chocolate lovers, and we loved this creation immensely. I prefer it without the ice-cream - it was drier, crustier and warm to perfection.

There aren't a lot of cafes in Singapore that are generous with portions, but easy on the wallet. Thankfully EWF is one of those places.My friend ordered the ham & cheese sandwich with sour and cream fries. Just look at that enormous portion, my friend couldn't finish it and even asked me to help her to finish! Whereas for me, I decided to give nutella tart a shot after hearing numerous compliments about it. I personally think it's not as surprising as it is because I don't think it will taste a

     Attractive platter was awesomely served, pork had been BBQ to perfection. Meat was thickly solid while juicy tender with a smoky fragrant, the texture and taste was tangy for my liking. Homemade Miso Sauce added extra savoury delicious for the pork, Fries and Veggies as dressing played their part to balance up the whole. It was absolutely a filling set, I paid for it at $13.90. Pretty decent food with very affordable price, you may enjoy sumptuousness without burning a hole in your pocket.

For one, it is different. Unlike the OC outlet, you do not have to first purchase your food at the counter (like a fast food restaurant).     Like all the other EwF outlets, their interior is largely dressed in white. My friend and I were shown to a two-seater as the restaurant is slowly filling in with customers.

    I ordered the Battered Fish sandwich ($13.90). The dish arrived and I noticed it was quite different from the one served at the OC outlet.

     I was sorely disappointed because the dish turned out to be a flop. There wasn't anything great about the dish at all. Perhaps I just happened to dine at an inappropriate time where the cook wasn't in a good mood or something. My friend ordered the same and he had the same sentiments as do I.

    Oh well, sometimes I guess its best to stick to where you normally head to.

    Breaded NZ King Salmon – crispy handbreaded salmon on the outside, but was undercooked. We asked for a replacement, only to receive a microwaved-cooked “followup” with a side dish of attitude problem from the server.Pork chop – perfectly grilled, well seasoned, and the meat is juicy , but felt that the shoe string fries was a little overrated in justification with the pricing and taste. Or maybe due to the fact that Mcdonalds have set their standards high. So considering how this place is called

    Everything with fries is a pretty unique concept, with the focus being on offering many different types of flavoured fries. The fries here are unique in terms of flavours and you can choose from garlic fries, sour cream and onion fries barbeque fries etc... I really liked the sour cream and onion fries which were in my opinion the best out of all. These really taste like potato chips but thicker and more substantial. The fries come free with the main ordered so its great as a side dish!

    My friend have always wanted to try the food at Everything with Fries, and so we came here for dinner after school! They had quite a queue but since it's only 2 of us, we didn't wait for long before we got a table, I think it was about 10 minutes or so.      My friend have always wanted to try the food at Everything with Fries, and so we came here for dinner after school! The order was already done while queuing, which saved a lot of time as the food arrived shortly after we sat down. The lady recommended us having the one egg soup as it was their house special but I find that it tasted quite ordinary. We also had a nutella milkshake to share which was very savoury


    Each main course is served with a choice of fries and side salad. When I first heard about this place, I expected their fries to be the main highlight of the restaurant, but it turned out that there was nothing special about it. The fries served are the normal shoestring or straight cut and you get to choose five different flavors, the original, curry, salt & vinegar, sour cream and onion, garlic and herbs. We chose the garlic and herbs and sour cream and onion. My friend had the battered fish sandwich which consist of battered white fish with their handmade mushroom cheese sauce. I ordered the breaded nz king salmon and it was good! It consist of a layer of crispy crumbs on top of the salmon meat, which is so soft and tender, very well cooked!

    Overall, Everything with Fries serves decent western food at affordable prices! I will come back here to try the other mains and their much raved about nutella tart!

    Must Try the Beef Karubi, I have never tasted so good a beef dish before - how is it possible to have such a smooth texture for beef? How?If you like mushroom, Truffle fries is worth it .     If you like mushroom, Truffle fries is worth it
    . It has this sweet aroma of mushroom, mmmmmm..... )

    This EWF burger is like any other beef burger just that the beef patty is reaklly juicy and thick. Love that one can choose and customize the type of flavored fries that would be served at the side of the burger and the set comes with drinks too!!!!! The burger bun is really soft and fluffy and since it is slightly toasted it has a crunch to it. The burger is just nice for one.

    Always a delight to visit this restaurant. The place is sparkling clean and their staff is always pleasant and friendly.You have a choice over what cut you want you fries to be and the flavor. But the dish I love the most about this place is not their fries, but their salmon. The salmon is always cooked to perfection, not overcook. Tender in the inside, crispy on the outside. It's one of the best salmon I have among many restaurant.

     This is on a saturday, 2pm. Quite crowded.

    The ambience here isn't as great because of many reasons. First, the air conditioning was not strong enough and I still feel hot and uncomfortable sitting in the restaurant. It might be due to the sunny weather. Second, the place was a little cramp (definitely not their fault to have such a small space), but this affects my mood with regards to the restaurant too. Last, everyone here spoke so loud like a coffeeshop, which makes me feel irritated.

     Creamy Salmon in a Cup

    You know what's amazing about the soup? It has a slight alcoholic taste! My friend who had this dish is a malay so we had to ask what was in it, and to our surprise, there was no alcohol haha.

    Nonetheless, the soup didn't turn out great.
    But there were plenty thick salmon slices inside the soup.

     Tandoori Chicken Sandwich

    The taste of the chicken sandwiched between the toast was very tender and juicy. I really hate dry chicken, so I thought the tandoori was alright. The sour creamy sauce that went along with it made the sandwich more appetizing and I like it!

    My fries was sour cream and onion.

    About their service: Oh yes, I forgot to mention, one of their waitress (there were two) was very rude! When we called for her, she just gave a hand sign telling us to wait while she finish off her task on hand. I mean, if you don't have the time now, let us know politely because after all you are here to provide service to the customer, and not your black face.

     There is a walking distance from the holland v mrt station to this cafe, so you might want to check out the address first.
    Overall, I thought this is considered quite a good place to chill out with your friends. What's best is the affordable price which most students can probably afford. Everythingwithfries is just like another restaurant which serves western food and thus there is nothing much special about it, at least that's what I thought. A small bad point is that it's not very accessible. Perhaps going to their other outlets!

    Went to EWF at Holland V for chill out and some dessert. My friend introduced this delicious yummy tart! Although i'm not a fan of any tarts, I am fall in love with this Nutella Tart! Must Have!! Skinny Chicken Wings nicely marinate with spicy taste. Can't stop eating this as it is perfectly marinated. Must Have!Lastly, to kill away the spicy taste, Vanilla Milkshake will wash it off!Milky and smooth. Must have too!

There were about 8 pieces inside the side dish, so it wasn't too bad, and would make a great starter sharing dish.

    For their mains, you get to choose from a long list of main courses of various meat types and it will be served with a portion of garden salad and your choice of fries. You can choose the thickness of the fries (in thinner shoestring or straight cut) and the seasonings to go with it. I had their Grilled Ham and Cheese Sandwich ($9.90) together with salt and vinegar shoestring fries. The term shoestring fries is a little misleading because the fries were not as thin as suggested by the name, it was actually much thicker as shown in the picture. I tasted mostly the salty parts of the salty and vinegar seasoning but failed to detect the sour vinegar taste and wished it was stronger. The Grilled Ham and Cheese sandwich was actually rather decent; the bread was toasted, while the grilled cheese was sufficiently melted to give a nice cheesy texture to go with the ham slices in the bread.

     Initially this wasn’t in our order at all but we got bored of waiting for the food so we got the drink, Butterscotch Milkshake ($5.90). Wanted to try something different so this was the only different milkshake offered. It wasn’t as buttery as I expected? More like the thick vanilla creamy plus too sweet for me.

     Our nutella tart ($6.90)! Didn’t top up $2 for vanilla ice cream. It didn't taste as good as I thought it would be. Maybe because we were too full from our mains to actually savour it? Too much chocolate and we were already quite full prior to that. It might have taste much better with ice cream though.

    Overall our bill came up to $45. It would be good to order 2 mains for 3 person or 3 for 4 person. Unless you have a hearty appetite if not I won’t recommend one mains per person if you intend to have dessert after that. Crowd during saturday noon was relatively okay, ambience was great actually because of the nice music they were playing. But service was a tad slow as I guess they didn't have enough staff to customer ratio.

    So after a very long day, My friend and I decided to and have some dessert. I bought myself a Nutella tart and my friend had Baked strawberry cheesecake. The nutella tart was really rich.I could taste the nutella and it was soft on the inside and crispy on the outer layer. I love it so much that i had to order another one. The nutella tart was really rich.I could taste the nutella and it was soft on the inside and crispy on the outer layer. I love it so much that i had to order another one.
    The baked strawberry cheesecake was really tasty. The cheesy-ness plus the strawberry wahhh...So sh-oik! I would have spent $20. It was worth it! They had a lot more other flavours. Maybe I shall try out the others the next time..
