After my hair-cut, I walked out of the Salon heading towards the Kopitiam. I wanted to top-up my kopitiam card with the $10 my hubby just handled to me before I left the Salon. To my horror, it was not in my pocket. I traced back my trail to the Salon but couldn't find it. It was not in the Salon as well. I must have dropped it somewhere between the Kopitiam and the Salon, which was less than 50m away. I was quite upset and disappointed with the dishonestly of the people around. I believed the one who picked it up could see that I have dropped it, because it was in less than a minute from the Salon that I realised that my money was gone. I turned around immediately and it was gone.:( Just have to blame myself for being careless.Fortunately, I still have some money left in the card, not much but enough for me to have a bowl of laksa and a cup of coffee. The laksa was nothing great, maybe it was my mood, but the gravy was pretty blend. I added chilli but it was still not spicy. At least, they gave me extra fishcakes in place of the taupok that I didn't want. Quite cheap, only $3.15 with the card.查看更多

Was feeling bloated but afraid that I might feel hungry later in the night, so I convinced myself to try to eat something light and healthy. Finally decide on eating Fishball Dong Fen Soup at this stall. The fishballs are fresh and firm and it feels like they could be used as ping pong balls. The glass noodle is cooked till just right. Also, I like it that the uncle added alot of spring onions for me. It's a good meal to have when one don't have much appetite. 查看更多

As far as I know this stall has been operating by an old couple for few years. They offer simple menu with few types of noodle with or without soup. Portion wise, it is just nice for me sometimes for lunch or dinner when I want to have a light meal. There are many versions of ba chor mee that I have tried. What makes a good bowl of ba chor mee? Will it be an individual taste or case? There was a lady who was really good in stewed the mincemeat with mushroom at Bukit Batok industrial area and that was the best taste ba chor I have tried.I have patronised this stall for quite a few years, every time I only ordered their ba chor mee. They serve fish ball noodle, fried wonton noodle, etc. It could be the mix of mincemeat, pig’s liver, fried wonton, slice meat, lettuce plus chilli sauce, soy sauce and vinegar, blend them all with noodle, every mouthful would have a bit of meat and noodle, not too much nor too little, sure will satisfy one’s palate. Their chilli sauce isn’t too hot, soy sauce and vinegar are just taste right, not too sour nor salty. I like their mee bok as it has springy texture without the alkaline taste or powdery. They serve crispy lard, it enhances the overall flavour though it is 2~3 bits only. Last but not least, I don't taste msg!Simple and yet complicate for such a normal food, it may be an unremarkable bowl of noodle, one would go back again and again unintentionally.查看更多
