My first time to FLOR Pâtisserie.Ordered a high tea set and an individual tart. The tart was an ice cheese tart. As a fan of cheese, the taste was pretty right. It is not as sweet those I have eaten. The cheese taste was balanced as well. I definitely enjoy the cakes and the afternoon. The cakes still lingers in my mind and I would like to try the rest of its selections.

I am always here whenever i am in town. Their delicious cakes are the motivation behind my intention to be in the vicinity, either intentionally or unintentionally. My all time favorite has to be Wakakusayam, a swiss roll of honey-infused green tea and their exclusive red bean cream then nicely decorated with slice of strawberry and Japanese chestnut and red bean. I have always been a fan of japanese cakes and pastries and was delighted to have discovered Flor Patisserie at Duxton Hill. I decided to order a slice of Moint Blanc. The cakeis topped with fresh fruits like blueberries and strawberry. The sponge cake was really soft and fluffy. The creamy chestnut cream is the highlight of the cake.

A pretty well known pastry shop that have won the hearts of many! We had strawberry shortcake in celebration of one of our fellow colleague's birthday. The cake comes in a pretty bow. I assume it's their signature design. The cake is fluffy accompanied by layers of cream. It tasted perfect on the whole, with fruits, sponge cake and cream. Yummy!

This place serves yummy French pastries with Japanese influence. It is baked by a Japanese Chef Yamashita. Located at Duxton Hill but they just open a branch at Takashimaya this Oct.This Patisserie shop has limited seating with a few tables & chairs. A glass display shows their cakes available. A friend bought this cake for us and said that she heard from her colleagues that the cakes here are good and raved so much that she also got one to try. The cake was decorated with fresh strawberries and the cream on top was whipped cream yet the center was spread with fresh cream. The sponge was light and airy, and overall the taste was good . This is probably the best cake that i ever tasted in Singapore. I could not forget how delicious the french chestnut cream was and how crispy the puff pastry taste. My favorite has to be the sweetened Japanese chestnuts. I am going to order this for my birthday. I am coming back to try their other cakes too.

I was a little confused when i found out that there is another Japanese cake shop by Chef Yamashita - Flor Patisserie. I used to vist Glace by Chef Yamashita whenever I passed by Icon. I could see the similarities of their products, i thought they should be under the same boss or rather they should be 'sister' shop. We happily headed home with 4 cakes from Flor since the shop space is quite small. Flor's Tahiti (as the name implies) is a happy fusion of pineapple cubes, passionfruit cream and coconut dacquoise. Mango Pie ($6): Baked creme d’amande tart filled with pastry cream, and topped with fresh ripe mango and blueberries.This has a superbly moist and buttery tart base and is so darn good that I had it on both of my visits.
