Had vouchers for Food for Thought Cafe last time and tried out the outlet at Queen Street. This time, over at Botanic Garden, a different setting, different menu, a total different experience. Excited. Hot chocolate for myself. It's a large cup top with marshmellow. Super sweet, I like though drink it once in a while. Slow roasted pulled pork with fries and rootbeer. Amidst the lush greeneries of Botanic Gardens lies Food for Thought (FFT), a brunch-dinner place big enough to sit at least two-hundred hungry diners. As most of you all might know, the FFT outlet at North-Bridge has closed down and currently, the other outlet is at Queen Street's 8QSAM. Different from the latter, Botanic Garden's is mostly self-serviced - you order directly from the cashier and the service staff delivers to you. Oh, and you get the water yourself from the water-station as well.

I had won a $10 food vouchers from food for thought and i decide to write try it out myself. I took a day off and made a trip to botanic garden! Well, is a long walk before i reached the restaurant and walking in the hot sun makes me panting my mad! Seriously, is not recommended to go during such hot day! Next comes the food, I tried the their pancake, which taste so awful! Serious regret ordering. The chocolates chip can't melt in our mouth at all and the pancake is not hot or at least warm bef

This place is a must-go if you are looking for reasonably priced food around the Botanic Garden or Tanglin area.I went 2 occasions, once in the evening and late morning. Both occasions I spent around 20+ dollars.The decor is very very spacious and I truly enjoyed myself there.Onto the food reviews:1. Lunch at Food for Thought was yummy and the ambience was very laidback. Place was huge and airy, and you got to pay at the counter before getting your food.They seem to cater for particularly late risers-had all day breakfast on the menu and ordered a basic set of thick butter toast,scrambled eggs and crisp bacon at 3pm no less. It was our food hunting night after a whole day work. We decided to try Food for Thought which located at Botanical Garden. It is one of the best places to enjoy dinning as you can take a long stroll through the park after dinner. This cafeteria is located at the basement right next to the car park which is not easily being seen. We had difficulties finding the place once we reach as there is no signage telling us where the location is. Once we found the place, we were quite surprise and delight

Food was good and the portion size was more than adequate for one person. Should try the Red velvet cake as it goes really well with the icing at the top. Also, waiting time for the food was not too bad. The restaurant has a nice environment and is a good place to chill and relax with friends or family. This place is definitely a plus point for families with children as there is a children's play area in the restaurant which can keep the children entertained. #NTUDAC

This place was quite crowded with no available seats when my partner and I arrived. We took about 10 minutes to find a seat. We arrived at lunch time and it was on the New Year's eve. That could be the reason. We ordered Basil Almond Chicken Linguine, Grilled Basil Pesto Chicken Burger, Hazelnut and Chocolate Cake, Old Southern Red Velvet Cake. These dishes and desserts are simply delicious. Words can't really describe how nice the tastes were. You got to give it a try.

Topped with a generous amount of thick-cut fries, this pulled pork burger is gigantic in portion and can be shared among two people. Because of the air-con, the meal gets cold quite quickly and it's best eaten hot, so I didn't really get to talk to my friend much over meal, got to eat really fast. The pork patty wasn't very special, and the bread used was quite average. Not really food that give you thoughts.. quite a forgettable experience

Went for an afternoon tea here and the place is nice!! The cafe has a aircon section and a lovely outdoor playground just outside. It's a great arrangement as the full glass windows allow parents (me!) to watch the kids run amok at the outdoor playground - in comfort!!! As I said, it's only tea and I tried the ham & cheese quiche. But the quiche is good!! Would try the other yummies next time.
