The old saying that goes "An apple a day keeps the doctor away".Fruits are an essential item to our diet as they are rich in vitamins and fibre.In our culture, many of us have the habit to take fruits after our meal. And this may cause indigestion issues. As some experts mentioned, it is better to have fruits 20 minutes before a meal on a empty stomach. Why? The theory explains that simple sugar from fruits are easily digested as compared to starch,fat and protein that we take in from our meals. They will take a longer time to be broken down thus they will take longer time in our stomach .We ordered a fruits platter and share among 5 of us. Fruits include, watermelon, guava, pineapple & honeydew. The sweetness of the watermelon varies from every cubes I take in. Pineapple is sweet while guava and honey dew are not. Some portions of the guava are too soft and some are too hard. The preparation and waiting time for the helper to cut the food is average.To keep yourself healthy, remember to take fruits first so as to keep the doctor away.
