Gelare have been one of the waffle go to places especially since it is easily accessible cause it is located in malls. They are very generous with the chocolate syrup and the ice cream here was really good. The waffles have the outer crisp which goes very well together with the ice cream.

I have gotten my craving for ice cream waffle satisfied at Gelare. I'm not sure if there is the best place for waffle but since there is no single soul in the cafe, I decided to patronize them.Chose a Chocolate Chip waffle with Raspberry Sorbet and Cookie & Cream ice cream plus Chocolate syrup over the waffle. Vivo City is a shopping heaven out of city; very accessible as MRT and bus interchange is a stone throw away.I decided to take a break here at Gelare Cafe. This cafe is quite nice and quiet as there wasn't many people around. maybe cos we came at a right time. We ordered the Ice Lemon Tea, Waffle with vanilla and Cookies'n'cream. i went to gelare at vivo city to redemn my groupon voucher. I ordered the macadamia nut flavor ice cream. The deal was to serve the ice cream on their waffle cone. Their waffles cone is really good, very crispy but every time you bite into it, the crumbs fall all over the table, making it a little messy. The macadamia ice cream was really good, the macadamia flavor was pretty strong. It was not too sweet as well. However the ice cream did melt pretty fast but it was good.

As I was walking around vivo with my girlfriend, she suggested we head for some tea to rest our tired legs. As we were just outside gelare, we headed in to grab ourselves a cone. We share a cone cos their ice cream is pretty large. We ordered the Oregon mint fudge flavor. Mango Sorbet from Gelare at Vivo City. Gelare had lived up to its "smooth and thick" promise. Had it at only 50 cents per scoop as they are having a promotion for these flavors, mango sorbet and raspberry sorbet. I think it tastes not bad but my friend love it very much. Anyway it is quite a good dessert to chill out on a sunny day and and have a small chat with friend.

Tuesdays is Gelare half price waffles day. From slightly over 4 dollars onwards, you can get a waffle (chocolate chip ones are nicer but cost more). Scoops of ice cream can also be added on top.
