I LOVE breakfast for dinners.When I heard of all-day breakfast served at Hatched (Evans Lodge), i knew i have to try it!As the restaurant name suggests, they serve only mostly eggs. Poached, fried, boiled, baked, scrambled, real ones, fake ones, cartoon ones lols. You name it, they have it.Love the old school location.Definitely have to try the egg benedict there!They have SO MANY different types! They have SO MANY different types!

But all priced the same, $12 for one poached egg, $18 for two

 My Sir Benedict! Taste so goood with the cripsy strip bacon.

And there isn't the overwhelming taste of vinegar (did they even add in vinegar?) unlike some other brunch places.

And the mashed potato is dripped with thick mushroom sauce, surprisingly delicious!

In my opinion, it's better than Wild Honey, the benchmark for its famous egg benedict.

More value-for-money too! Only 18bucks.

 Burly Benedict which comes with minced beef instead of bacon strips.

Doesn't really go well in my opinion :X

Was specially here to try out their brunch! Do note that if you are not driving, this place is a little inaccessible. Cute cute menu!Even the peeper holders are so cute!I ordered Burly Benedict (2 English muffins so it cost $18++, 1 English muffin will be SGD$12++) These English muffins are topped with corned beef, poached egg and mornay sauce.  I ordered Burly Benedict (2 English muffins so it cost $18++, 1 English muffin will be SGD$12++)

These English muffins are topped with corned beef, poached egg and mornay sauce. They are also served with sauteed potatoes. A very satisfying meal with my friends. The food is yummy and the place gives us a very cozy feeling.

I will be back for other brunch sets in future

Dr Oz says one should have an egg everyday. We went to hatched to check it out I ordered Cowboy Burger $17 – Tender and juicy beef steak sitting on a fluffy and chewy toasted english muffin topped with a perfectly cooked sunny side up egg. Big slice of melted cheese covered the sauteed mushroom and onions (kind of remind me of mushroom swiss burger from a fastfood chain). Hot and crispy streak fries was nice. With beautiful plating, the soft bread containing the scrumptious stew beef covered with heaps of soft and fluffy tasty scramble eggs. Served with fresh and crunchy green salad. The drinks were refreshing and light tasting.

This sir benedict set from hatched is a perfect way to start of your day. love the half cooked egg with the muffin slices and fresh green vegetables at the side. The egg benedict goes really well with the hollandaise sauce and the ham under the egg adds an additional aroma and fragrance to the muffin. A filling and satisfying breakfast sure to satisfy everybody!

Had the burger at Hatched and it was so filling. The portion was big and the burger was worth the price you will be paying. The flavour of the beef was excellent and love that the meat was not overly dry and still juicy to the bite. The french fries were thickly cut and soft on the inside while maintaining a crunch on the outside. Love this dish and is definitely a change from their egg sets.

Went to Hatched @ Evans lodge on an impromptu decision. Cos I was craving for a good brunch one fine evening and didn't want to queue at Wild Honey.

Merlion Wayfarer had been wanting to try Hatched for some time eversince seeing a TV program on it.So it was finally, on one cloudy day that she ended up in Hatched after a visit to the nearby Botanical Gardens. It was absolutely delicious, until you get your first bite of salmon. The salmon was extremely salty.  Smoke Royal $13

This is half an English muffin, topped with smoked salmon, poached egg and Hollandaise sauce, served with homemade mash.
It was absolutely delicious, until you get your first bite of salmon. The salmon was extremely salty. The muffin alone was not enough to cover the saltiness and I've to eat parts of the salmon with the mash and vegetables. I seriously do not recommend this dish to anyone who cannot stand saltiness. My friend took on bite of it and rejected anymore of it.

 Sir Benedict $13

This is half an English muffin, topped with smoked ham, streaky bacon, poached egg and Hollandaise sauce, served with homemade mash.
Now this dish, is worth ordering for two
Extremely delicious and will order this again when I next visit. The bacon was awesome.

Overall view:
The dishes, although delicious, are served in very small portions. It was like half of what I normally eat in a meal. Everything on the menu is costly. So be prepared to spend some amount when you walk in.

This is their Lychee Yogurt which we were told that it is home-made which means they did not add any perservatives to it as it will be healthier than those you buy from Major supermarkerts. I have tasted the yogurt and it taste good! and it is not too milky or tasteless while the lychee taste is there and i dont think they put in colourings nor flavourings in it! yummy (:

We ordered for English Tea to relax and drink them while chatting. It is actually for 1 pax but we shared among 4 person for a few small cups. There's other choices but not just this type of tea. And we ordered for Omelette which contains alot of mushrooms on the inside as the main ingredident. And there's a full piece of white bread and butter to eat with. Therefore we cut them to pieces to eat it. If only they do have wholemeal bread to choose from..

The bowl is full of warm scrambled eggs and there's some english sausage which tasted like "la jiang" in chinese. And there's some mashed potato by the side and some light toasted bread to go with. It really feels like breakfast when you have egg and bread to go with. It is indeed a great meal over there chatting with my friends and enjoying the food on the table and environment is good!

The location of Evans Lodge is very hard to get there as there's no nearby public transport. And when you alight at botantic garden, you still got to take another bus there and walk about 10 minutes then you will reach. It is totally difficult to get there.. Anyway I tried their Salmon Royale which is really good but it is a little bit pricy already! There's poached egg on top and some mash potato, veggies by the side..

There seems to be an eggs benedict craze in Singapore! Anyhow, here I am with a friend at Hatch for my eggs benedict fix.I need 2 eggs bens to satisfy my craving. One with corn beef and one with smoke salmon! I like eggs ben with smoke salmon, corn beef is not bad too! But nothing compliments eggs much as well as smoked salmonThis is my friend's banana pancakeand she was craving for some sausages... so here are her sausages.

After hearing a lot of good reviews about Hatched, my friend & I decided to visit Hatched on a Sunday too. I ordered a Sir benedict which consists of half muffin with ham, bacon & poached egg. For the sides, there are mashed potato and salad. I love love love the mashed potato. It was superb!! The sauce itself has mushroom bits in it, it's super nice! The flavor is there & not too bland. However, after polishing off the creamed yolk outside, the yolk inside the poached egg is a little too overwhelmed in the taste. The egg white doesn't taste very nice too. I preferred sunny side-ups egg white. The bacon is cooked nicely too, same with the ham. The muffin is normal too. But it's a good combination
Good meal to start off the day
But the portion is very small, not worth the price paid. The service is average but the place is hot although it's air-conditioned. There's even a fly flying around
