The difference between their Laksa and Laksa Yong Tau Foo will be the latter not having any tau pok. But in order to minimise the damage for a sinful lunch, I opt for Laksa Yong Tau Foo which I select 8 items at $2 plus $0.30 for noodles and $0.30 for Laksa gravy only. This is still quite affordable as compared with those at food centres. Or if you want to have purely Laksa (with noodles and tau pok), it costs only $1.80/$2.00. Usually they will cook all the selected food items plus noodles firs

Usually they will cook all the selected food items plus noodles first and then pour in the gravy. Even so the laksa gravy is quite concentrated and the noodles (yellow noodles) actually absorb the taste and it is very delicious. But you will tend to feel a little bit thirsty after that so do drink water to gush out the unavoidable sodium it has for the overall. The food items do contribute to the saltiness sometimes.

I always see Yong Tau Foo as a healthier choice for our daily meal as we ourselves determine what type of nutrients go into our body. Apart from the soup base which some use chicken broth or using monosodium glutamate (MSG) for convenience, the most important thing is our choice of food items to complete this Yong Tau Foo.

Most of the stalls within the campus are priced reasonably. And usually in this stall, minimum of 6 pieces at $1.50 which does not include noodles, which is priced at $0.30. From 7th piece onwards will be at $0.25 each. If you want it in laksa gravy instead of the usually soup base or dry type, add an additional of $0.30 to satisfy your graving. I have tried their laksa before. It is nice and pleasing to the palate. So for a budget eater, I usually do the basic which costs me at $1.80 and the portion is good enough for me. What I usually have which is a must will be vegetable, toufu, mushroom and broccoli. I can't do without them for my nutrients intake, although not much.

In their menu, there are others items like sliced fish porridge, sliced fish bee hoon, sliced fish soup, sliced fish mee sua and sliced fish mee. All at $2.30 each. If you want to have just purely laksa, is at $1.80. Simply love the tau pok that has absorbed the laksa gravy that purge out from every bite.

So this stall has morning breakfast to like fried beehoon and noodles, and mid morning onwards for lunch all the way till evening.

Usually I had my breakfast at home but when I run out of choice at home, I will just head for this stall for my breakfast before work.It is actually a Yong Tau Foo stall and they have great variety of food to choose from and also they have fried rice vermicelli and fried noodles for their breakfast items. At a price of $0.85, you get a generous amount of rice vermicelli or fried noodles plus one side which you can choose from their Yong Tau Foo items. If you want more sides, is $0.25 per piece.

I do see some people having Yong Tau Foo for breakfast too. So you may want to try as it really a healthier choice with lots of vegetables along with toufu and other stuff to balance your diet.

the Yong Tou Fu stall at Science canteen is one of my favourite stall despite the super long queue. It provides a healthier choice of food. First, you have to queue to choose your ingredients, minimum 6 pieces for $1.50, adding noodles costs $0.30, and laksa gravy itself costs $0.30 too. One can also order the Ordinary Laksa ($1.80) where you get the "default ingredients" such as stuffed bean curd, beansprouts, and few slices of fish cake.
