For more details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.com/2014/04/hoopla-coffee-kitchen.htmlDrinks: Iced Espresso with Milk + Chocolate ($6.50), and Freshly squeezed Orange juice ($6.00). Espresso is not bad, but somehow I never get to taste the presence of chocolate in it.Mains: Sali's Baked Eggs ($15.00), consisting of Hoopla Pomodoro, smoked salmon, 2 eggs, emmental cheese, and toasts. Salmon is good, and sauce is pretty much like tomato sauce. If you're a spaghetti lover, you might like this dish.Mains: Full English ($18.00), consisting of mushroom, sautéed potatoes, grilled tomatoes, chicken sausage, toast, vinegrette greens, and a choice of poached/scrambled/sunny egg. I love every item in this dish. The potatoes have a little raw taste in it, which seems to be freshly peeled and prepared, instead of refrigerated. Sausage is soft, and a little springy. Furthermore, my scrambled eggs are done pretty well.Side Bites: Breaded Chicken Poppers ($9.00). I love the light amount of salt! But no matter how poppers we "pop" into our mouth, it seems to be more like eating squid than chicken Just right beside Hoopla, it's another cafe named the "Revolution Coffee". Haven't went to take a look at its menu, but am impressed by the color-striped short chair (or whatever you called it). It totally just reminds me of how my family used to own one of this back then...Anyway, I will definitely head back to Hoopla for food, and perhaps bringing some more friends over For more details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.com/2014/04/hoopla-coffee-kitchen.html 繼續閱讀

An address that should be familiar to cafe go-ers, another cafe opens in the offices of Infinite Studios yet again. Hoopla Cafe is the newest kid on the block, opened two shop spaces away from Revolution Coffee. As opposed to cafes opened of the late, Hoopla has a generous seating area. Decor is simple and bright. The menu here is rather varied. One could choose to have their breakfast offerings, or choose to have mains here. The Pancakes ($15.00) came with salted caramel sauce, whipped cream and bananas. The pancakes were slightly toasted at the bottom to add a crispy texture, though it also somewhat induced a light bitter flavour as well. The salted caramel sauce was well done; sweet yet slightly burnt without overwhelming. We wished that they would have caramalised the bananas for they were a bit ripe. Lavender petals were added, which induced a soothing floral scent to the light tasting batter. Didi Chicken Pie($8.50) is named after the head chef here. We loved the lightly buttery and crusty top, as well as the creamy interior flanked with tender pieces of chicken and mushrooms. The garden salad had a fruity kick to it, but somewhat a bit sour for my tastebuds.A few cakes and pastries were available, of which we chose the Traditional Lemon Cake ($6.00) that arrived as we just came. As much as we loved it for how it tasted, it felt rather out-of-point as it was sweet instead of zesty and seemingly more like a pound cake instead. The Lavender petals were a great addition but took some of the cake’s flavour along with it as well. For those whom are interested, there are also dessert pies supplied from Windowsill Pies available here as well.Coffee here is categorised as Espresso + Milk (Flat White), Espresso + Water (Long Black) and Espresso + Chocolate and Milk (Mocha). I had the 5 Oz Espresso + Milk ($4.50) which was bright and aromatic. For non-coffee lovers, T2 teas and artisan sodas are also availableHoopla Cafe is a pretty decent place for a lazy afternoon hangout. Nestled in a location away from the hustle and bustle in town, its quietness is a factor that would appeal to most. The service staff were rather helpful as they were attentive to our needs by asking if we needed a change of tables or if we wanted small plates to share. Food-wise it was also rather acceptable, but whether if its worth the time to come down depends very much on the time spent on finding the location; some have been known to locate it for 20mins, while some took less than 5 minutes. Head over to my post on Revolution Coffee here for a detailed guide to Infinite Studios. For more photos and the full review, please visit: http://jiaksimipng.wordpress.com/2014/02/16/hoopla-cafe-infinite-studios/ 繼續閱讀
