Ice Edge Cafe is located near to Kovan MRT Station. Found out this place randomly and decided to try out. The pizza is nice with those dried onions on top. Meat with rice is also nicely cooked, rice mixed well with the sauces. Overall, I feel that it is a bit expensive but the food there is pretty nice and delicious. Located within walking distance from Kovan MRT, Ice Edge Cafe is a convenient place to have desserts after a meal. They have a wide variety of gelato for you to choose from. Tried their Crème Brulee - A rich custard base with a layer of crispy caramel, and a gelato of your choice, of which I chose Lychee Martini. The gelato was alright, nothing special. My friend brought us to an affordable western cuisine cafe which located at kovan road. It’s walking distance from Kovan MRT station. The cafe is located at Simon Plaza which is next to residential houses. The cafe was flooded with walk in customers during dinner time. We managed to get a seat of 3 pax.My choice of the day was Fish & Chips @ S$13.80. I choose set dinner which comes with a free of ice lemon tea drink. The portion was quite generous. The dory fish was soft and cripsy.My friend ordered Pesto Cream Spaghetti with Prawn @S$16.80. The sauce was creamy and goes well with spaghetti. Another friend of mine ordered seafood ink spaghetti @S$16.80. The colour is as dark as the description. My friend is enjoying the dish and gets messy with the ink colour all over her mouth.We also ordered ala carte- Buffalo wings @S$9.80. The chicken meat was tender and the spiciness was just nice with the combination of sweetness that makes the ala carte to be addictive.Each of us had 2 pieces to satisfy our cravings.There is always room for desserts and i was spoilt with choices. There are wide varieties of interesting flavors to choose. I even saw Bak Kwa ice-cream available in the display counter. Truly amazed with their house brand gelato ice-cream. We ordered two scoops of ice-cream (Lychee martini and Ferraro Rocher) to share. Its my first time having Ferraro Rocher for ice-cream. It has the crispy nutty bites. Found this by chance, and didnt regret coming. Although ordered the 1 for 1 lunch promotion, the ala carte prices seems reasonable too! Ordered their spaghetti the non spicy version, and found its creamyness acceptable, and is little bouncy when chewing. Also tried the double pork chop, and i love its potato gratin when smeared on the pork chop!Their must try is the gelato! They have a variety to choose, but I had cookies n cream, and mango passion fruit. I preferred the former favor than the latter. Probably the sourness does not go well with cookies n cream. The stretch of roads around Simon Road and Kovan Road has been slowly and in a way quietly developing into a food street. The Ice Edge Cafe is a cozy cafe located at the quiet stretch of Kovan Road. The cafe offers a wide variety of Gelato Flavors. I ordered a Root Beer with ice cream which is known as black cow on the menu. For the ice cream flavor, I went for Lychee Martini. I thought I made a bad choice. Should have gone for something more creamy and sweet without alcohol.The waffle was crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. This is the Mao Shan Wang durian ice cream and lava cake for this cafe in Kovan! Love the flavour of the ice cream and it definitely authentically taste like durian. Love that it is not overpoweringly sweet and was quite refreshing for an especially hot day!! The lava cake was good too! Love that it is warm and paired up with the mao shan wang ice cream! My 1st time here but definitely not my last as i didn't have a chance to try their ice-cream!I've heard about this cafe and all the while i tot it only sell ice-cream and dessert but i was so WRONG! Dropped by with some friend for late nite dinner and coffee and we were so full and didn;t have anymore space in our tummy for dessert and we missed out! :-(A healthy choice loaded with omega 3. My great choice! thumbs up for the fat thick fish with thin crispy batter! :) Can i have somemore please....A simple seafood aglio which is rich with freshness of the seafood. Great taste!
