Definitely one of the better California Roll I've tried altogether in town. Ichiban Sushi located at Toa Payoh HDB hub is like one of the only choices for dinner if you are looking for a restaurant after a long day at work.From a wide range of conveyor belt sushi to shashimi to udon and other Japanese food, this is the ideal place for dinner with love ones, they are just beside MOS burger. I've been to the other outlets of this Japanese chain in Singapore and their standard remains the same some

From a wide range of conveyor belt sushi to shashimi to udon and other Japanese food, this is the ideal place for dinner with love ones, they are just beside MOS burger. 

I've been to the other outlets of this Japanese chain in Singapore and their standard remains the same somewhat, and relatively affordable.

Nabeyaki Udon is my favourite cooking style for Udon because in this way, the Udon is cooked in a claypot with the broth and all the ingredients, allowing the Udon to soak up the flavours of the broth more effectively.  The Udon arrived piping hot, just the way I like it, with an egg and a tempura prawn. Udon soaked up the broth well and is chewy and delicious. The only problem I have is that the soup is a little too salty but still acceptable.

 The chasoba was pretty ok - not overcooked and chewy, but I felt that the sauce was a bit too salty. I usually prefer my soba sauce to be less salty and they also didn't provide any radish to put into the tempura sauce. The tempura batter was not very good either and was quite hard, which meant that the oil wasn't hot enough when they deep-fried it. The only good thing about this restaurant is that the staff were quite attentive and re-filled my glass of iced green tea whenever I finish it.

I was flipping through the menu, wondering which of the usuals I should be settling on when something on the last page of the menu caught my eye.Teriyaki sliced pork with poached egg on rice in hot stone served with miso soup and a small side salad for under $14.Let's try it shall we?What a happy pop of colors from the cherry tomatoes, carrots and egg.  What a happy pop of colors from the cherry tomatoes, carrots and egg. And a generous serving of teriyaki sliced pork of course.

The side salad was sad though. random veggies with a dollop of mayonnaise. Hmm. Wafu dressing would've been much appreciated.

Be sure to stir the rice from time to time before it becomes burnt rice. Unless, of course you like it like that.

In a word? Flavourful. I didn't need to add any condiments to this in order to finish this bowl of yum.

With every $20 spend at Iciban Sushi or its related restaurant such as Iciban Boshi, Shokutsu 10, and Iciban bento, you will instantly awarded a stamp.I double confirmed with the staff at the counter whether there were other terms and conditions need to apply.  I took away as my dinner. A scrumptious Japanese meal, the Salmon was fresh. I like to consume it with chilli paddy and Japanese soy sauce. Yummy taste overall and the mixture was just nice. The portion was sufficient too.

 Besides, it also came along with Miso Soup. In clever and convenient pack, the soup was ready with adding boiled water inside for 2 minutes.
The original price for this set was $13.90, it was worthwhile.

teriyaki chicken in a sushi?? Whoever would have thought of that combination! Suprisingly though, this innovative dish really works! The combination of the moist sweet juicy chicken together with the slightly vinegared and sweetened rice all wrapped in a large sheet of seaweed is really good! This is almost like eating teriyaki chicken don with seaweed!

Not my first to have my dinner at Iciban Sushi, I just simply like the environment here. During dinner hours, we definitely have to queue. I am a noodle lover, and Iciban Sushi here served several styles of Nabe and Udon. It can be Cold, Curry-based or with different Hot Soup flavours.  Besides, we also took this, Iciban Moriawase. It mixed up to ten different flavours of sushi, costed $22.90. Talking about the portion, it was more than enough for two persons.

Ichiban has really good sushi. I got the salmon sashimi sushi which was from the premium menu. Costing 6 dollars for 3 sushi, this was not cheap, but the sushi quality is really good! The sushi rice was perfectly vinegared and seasoned and was wrapped with 2 thick slices of succulent salmon sashimi making for a fantastic treat!

Very touching to receive a lunch box from fellow colleagues. They know I like to eat Japanese food, purposely go Toa Payoh take away for me. The sushi I like the most was California Roll, consist of Crab Stick, Cucumber, Avocado, Eggs and Seaweed. Best eaten with savory Japanese Soy Sauce or Mayonaise. I accidentally saw the receipt, $5.20 for Salmon Chilli Don, $1.80 for Inari Sushi, $3.90 for mini California Roll and $0.90 for each ala-carte sushi. Reasonable price for me.

Went there for dinner with friends. I ordered Beef Curry with Cheese. When the food was served, it was quite tempting and the food was piping hot. really good cheese cake

Ichiban's desserts and takeaway section has the most delicious sponge cheese cake. Cheese cake has a nice brownish colour with its trademark cow mascot impression on it. love the texture of this cake - its firm on the outside, moist and cheesy on the inside.its best to finish it within the day you purchase it as it will start to lose a bit of its flavour the next day Overall i Love it! - makes a great light dessert & splendid for parties & celebrations!

Being Japanese food lovers, me and my daughter went to Ichiban Sushi for our lunch. As we both enjoy sushi, we decided to just order the sushis off the conveyor belt instead of having to order the set meals. In particular, I love this two sushis that we had, the seasoned scallop sushi as well as the salmon avocado sushi. The salmon avocado sushi is a must order for me every time I go Ichiban.
