Went there for dinner with colleagues. I ordered Chicken Curry with Cheese. Its a hot plate made up some chicken in thick curry gravy with carrots and some cheese on top. First try, the curry was not bad. The curry was thick and smell good. The main thing was it was piping hot and the fire was still lit so that the cheese can melt. The chicken was tender and fresh. Had an early birthday celebration for my mum at Ichiban Sushi at IMM on a sunday! We didnt spend a long time queueing as the service was quite fast. This is the first time that I patronised this shop and the service was great, the food was awesome too! The Sashimi was fresh and the black pepper chicken was nice too. 4 of us dined with a spending of abt $70, so each of us spent roughly abt $17. The quantity of the food is average.

It was the first time I'm having the Teriyaki Handroll. It costs $2.10 and has to be ordered. I've never seen one on the conveyor belt actually. Anyway, the teriyaki chicken was unexpectedly crunchy. The sauce used was great too. The chicken was surprisingly good in the handroll. However, since its chicken, its pretty hard to eat it along with the handroll as it keeps sliding out. Ordered a Chicken Katsu curry for $12.30, hotate nabe wazen $15.90 and chawanmushi $3.90. The Chicken Katsu Curry with a generous serving of rice and a big slab of chicken katsu. The curry was quite decently thick with bits of potato. This is the Blue Phantom drink from Ichiban Sushi. It is basically a mixture of blueberry puree and sprite, topped off with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream and a cherry on top. Even though the ingredients may sound like they do not complement each other, well, the truth is it wasn't so bad. My family and I usually visit IMM on Thursday or Friday night. This night we decided to dine at the Ichiban Sushi Restaurant at IMM. We made our usual selection; Tamago Sushi, Chawanmushi, Katsu Don, Cha Soba, Lobster Salad Sushi, Gyoza, Cheese Cake etc.. They were having a promotion on the Premium Cha Soba, $8.50. Me and colleagues love to visit this restaurant when we are craving for some Japanese food. My favourite orders (when i wanna go healthy) are chawanmushi and nabeyaki udon (which comprises of fried prawns, an egg, fish cakes). I love eating these 2 dishes with some wasabei & soy sauce. And also, i will go along with a cup of hot green tea for aiding digestion. I am always pleased with ichiban boshi for some casual japanese dining!

the gyoza at ichiban sushi is really delicious. many people go there for the sushi but the gyoza there is my pull factor. unlike other japanese restaurants, the gyoza is laid in a delicious sauce, making the gyoza very tasty. the ebi there is very delicious. the prawn is fresh and succulent. the ebi blends well with the hot gravy. it is a must order together with the gyoza.
