Jack’s Place

This is a western styled restaurant located in Heeren. It serves authentic western food. I like their chicken and mushroom spaghetti. It comes with generous amount of chicken and some mushrooms in creamy sauce.The spaghetti is quite springy not too soft. Just the right texture. I like the herbs in the sauce as well. It costs around $12. The price is average considering this is quite well-established restaurant. Their apple pie la mode is good. It comes with chunks of juicy apples and vanilla ice cream. It is around $6.50. Try their brownie a la mode. The brownie is made of rich chocolate and very soft... Recommended ! They do have promotional lunch sets as well. Grilled steak from Jack's Place does not really suit my taste as the meat is really tough and that may be the reason why the chef took so long to cook this dish which in the end 'over cooked' it. Thought the portion is quit big, but unfortunately there are really lots more rooms to improve on their steak cooking. The whole boiled potato may be a bit tough and should have cooked slightly longer to make it softer in texture and perhaps some nice gravy should be topped to it to add some taste to it. tried the black pepper steak... horrible steak... even worst than those sch canteen western food... the meat was tasteless and sauce was bland.... the cheesy mushroom wasnt that appetizing either.... definitely wont try again…查看更多

I went to Jack’s Place for dinner with a friend and ordered their chicken spaghetti. The taste of it was quite good as the spaghetti was well cooked, the chicken was well marinated and the sauce taste just right. What’s best is you can enjoy all these goodness in the plate of food for just $10. Yes, the price is cheap.
