Next attempt Jack's Place, ordered truffle fried with cheese , shrimp with Golden slipper lobster and BBQ chicken. Place was well decorating as usual and lots of ppl. Without long wait, out serving came together. The pasta was well done with shrimp which made is sweet and lobster size of my palm. BBQ is a healthy choice from menu. Went to jack's place with my family for lunch today & tried their set meals . The set meal includes soup of the day (broccoli), a slice of garlic bread, main course (choose either grilled chicken or sirloin steak), dessert of the day (panna cotta), complete with either a cup of tea/coffee. The broccoli soup was good & creamy with tiny bits of prawns in it. The restaurant had been here since my childhood days (at least 20 years?). Used to visit this place with my parents quite often when i am still a kid.. Brought my wife for dinner. Ordered the rib eye steak & fish n chips. Served in a sizzling hot plate, the steak was tender,juicy  and the black pepper sauce goes well with it. No doubt still a place for good steak but the Fish n chips is quite normal though.

Opt for affordable but fulfilling Western lunch, my friend suggested Jack Place. The place was decent cozy, I felt relaxed to dine-in here. Service was prompt and friendly, staffs were in neat uniform and readily to help. Lunch hour, it was not exaggeratedly crowded.I ordered Combo instead of Daily Set Lunch, because I was craving with Dear Meat. This place is a bit away from the Ang Mo Kio central, but it is still filled with people on a weekday afternoon. Most people are having the set lunches, which comes with soup of the day, main course and also the a slice of cake of the day. Can't really remember what steak this was but it tasted good enough for me to order again the next time. The baked potato was the bomb! the bacon bits, sour cream and green onion went so well together with the hot potato. I went on a weekend and service was quite slow probably due to the amount of people dining there. Perhaps service could be more well organized. As for the portion, it was just right.

The brown sauce on top of the Ribeye Steak really enhance the taste and texture of the steak. I ordered a medium rare Ribeye Steak so that the meat will not be too hard and unbreakable. The colour of the meat was close to either red or hot pink. The meat was tender, soft and fresh. This dish costed about $36 excluding GST and service charge which I think was pretty pricey. The ambience of the place was pretty alright although the environment was not comparable to those high end restaurants.

I had a pleasant experience with Jack's Place...The atmosphere was very relaxing and enjoyable, and the service staff was very helpful...I ordered their steak and it was pretty delicious, slightly above what I would expect from a restaurant and was served along with Escargot as well, definitely one of the best too I have ever tried...I really had a good time at this restaurant and would definitely come back again some time soon...

I was craving for oysters and escargoes so I decided to pop by Jack's Place just to try them. The oysters were reasonably fresh, although I tasted better. They were not too sweet and more briny than usual. The baked escargoes in butter were however done quite well. The garlic butter sauce was so delicious that I moped up the entire plate. The escargoes itself were fresh and very nice without tasting too strong.

My family frequents the AMK branch, especially when it's somebody's birthday. My usuals include the sambal steak, or the ribeye. This time I had the ribeye and it was great as usual. I was afraid they'd overdo the doneness (they couldn't get it right in the past), but this time it was all right.Another usual order of mine is the escargot. This one is one of their biggest and oldest outlets. To the food itself, we started with lobster bisque soup. It was quite good although the amount of lobster is somewhat dismal (oh well). We also ordered the garlic escargots and this is really good with the amount of garlic just right. Escargots are better tasting than they sound. I then tried the steak but the potato was a little disappointing because it wasn't warm. The steak was acceptable for its price because of the sauce.
