This is the first time I tried Jack's place food. At first, I thought it was expensive when I walked passed the restaurant. However, I changed my mind after I ate their food. Surprisingly, they have lots of foods like appetizers, soups, rice, noodles and desserts.Baked rice with chicken - $14.80I like the rice. It will make you full just eating it.Fish & chips - $15.50My friend tried this and it was delicious with the lemon sauce (squeezed).Brownie with vanilla ice cream - $6.60I love brownies & ice cream! The brownie was warm, and when you eat with the ice cream, it melts into your tongue.The price may be expensive, but with the service and nice foods, you may not want to miss trying here!  It's a good experience and environment. 繼續閱讀

Jack place is known for their steak, but because i wanted to tried something else, i ordered chicken cutlet which comes with fries and coleslaw. Since it is a simple dish it is hard to go wrong. I specially like the cheese coated on top of the chicken cutlet, thats what that make the dish more unique than the usual chicken cutlet. The skin is very crispy and flavorful. Also love how tender the chicken is! The fries and coleslaw are quite normal though. My verdict - With the price paid, i would rather pay a bit more for for Jack Place's Steak instead. 繼續閱讀

Just before my show at Nex, I walked past this one - Jack's Place and they are having week day lunch meal deal - Sirloin steak and Mango Salmon.The ambience was quiet as it was around 11am. I ordered middle rare for the steak and my wife took the salmon set together with the fired calamari and some salad. The tomato soup was nice with some potato pieces in it. When the main was served, my wife mentioned that she cannot taste any mango on the salmon but my steak was tender and cook to perfection. The sides on the plate was very salty so I ended up eating off the lettuce side to get rid of the saltiness. 繼續閱讀

Today, Merlion Wayfarer realized that the heaviest steak may not necessarily the juiciest!The steaks here were of 3 classifications : 180g, 250g, 350g. Feeling ravenous, she ordered the 350g T-Bone Steak - "NZ Silver Fern Farm T-Bone Steak" which was described as "A true Western favourite, a hearty 350h steak that's sure to appease your hunger" (Price : $24).And my my, it was HUGE!Then she realized why it was so heavy! The bone was huge and chunky and took up more than half the proportion of the entire piece! Worse still, the steak was few of sinews and fats. And she really had to hack it with her steak knife (note, "steak knife", not just an ordinary fish or chicken knife). And each piece she had was hardly quality meat. And the meat had a strong aftertaste. The really "beefy beef" taste. Arghz, what an introduction to the T-Bone Steak!Oh yes, on an afternote, she had to return the baked potato to the kitchen as it was served cold on a hot place. All the rest of the items were sizzling hot, Even the vegetables leave a trail of steam in their wake. Yet the potato was served C-O-L-D! Attention to all steak lovers, this is a place to have good steak at a low costthe steak served comes with SAMBAL sauce at the side which is GREAT as it is spicy and nicethe portion of meat is just right and it very filling !what's best is that every month, jack's place offer promotion to allow you to save even more !The steak is cooked just nice and its not too hard or not too raw!The seafood platter there is also great (for those finger food lovers) and the portion is great too !Do try it out ! 繼續閱讀
