Another crucial factor will be the organs that go with into the bowl of soup, the intestines were clean and you don’t get the pungent smell from the viscera parts. All the organs e.g. pig liver, belly, lean meat were tender and cooked to the right texture. We can say that everything went into the bowl of the soup were nicely done up and to differentiate from other pig organ stalls.

Glutinous rice with stuffed chestnuts wrapped in Pig intestine
Besides selling pig organ soup, the stall has a specialty that you should consider of trying it out. The glutinous rice with stuffed chestnuts wrapped in the pig intestine; this is another popular item from the stall well received by many of the patrons. The glutinous rice was cooked to perfection, the gooey of the rice was impregnated with the flavour from the intestine as well as the sweetness of the chestnut, a lovely side order that you should go for it before it is vanished from our scene and can only be found in our food legacy.

Checking out this area of stalls that have human dragon queues and I’ve heard of an uncle always seated while serving.Pickled mustard in clear pork flavoured broth tasted light but with a tinge of saltiness (from the preserved vegetables) and all combined has a great strong aroma from prolonged boiling hours. Drinking the soup did not make me feel thirsty at all, which means there’s little or none MSG (MonoSodiumGlutamate). Pork intestines were well cleaned and did not have any unpleasant tastes

Pickled mustard in clear pork flavoured broth tasted light but with a tinge of saltiness (from the preserved vegetables) and all combined has a great strong aroma from prolonged boiling hours. Drinking the soup did not make me feel thirsty at all, which means there’s little or none MSG (MonoSodiumGlutamate).

Pork intestines were well cleaned and did not have any unpleasant tastes of innards. Usually these are cooked and with chewy texture, however for Koh Brothers’ , it was soft and tender. As lean meat was main choice of pork cuts instead of pork belly, eating from this bowl did not have the “gelat” / “greasy” aftertaste. Pork balls were firm , bouncy , tasted even better with the chilli dip. This is truly a great dish and worth queuing for.

The Service
As the stall is very famous for its mee siam, hence not surprised there is a long queue especially on weekends.

The Ambience
As the stall is in hawker center, i find that the place was well-ventilated and not stuffy due to spacious space.

The Price
Reasonably priced at $3.50 per bowl

Overall
I will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this for all pig organ soup lovers!

Somehow, if you follow the queue, more often than not, the food will be at least average. This stall commands quite a queue during lunch, so I joined in as well. In addition, there is also salted preserved vegetables which I thought helped made the soup even more flavourful and tasty. I like dipping the ingredients into the dark soya sauce and eating it together with the rice. Delicious!

Was at tiong bahru market for brunch with my relatives. And i decided to eat koh brother pig organ soup. And i think it was still early, therefore there were no queue. The pig organ soup comes in $3.50, $4, and $5 servings. If you were to packet home, it has to be at least $4 serving. The rice was charge at $0.50 per bowl. I love the different types of organ in a bowl of piping hot soup. It does not have any strong smell and the cooking time for the organ was perfect, not too hard and still has

Koh Brother's pig's organ soup is a old signboard that has been around for many many years. The pig's organ soup is still nice and the taste is about the same but missing is my favourite pig's blood. I always missed it whenever eating the pig's organ soup at Tiong Bahru Food Centre. The best timing to come here is before lunch if not long long queue is expected. This stall has it regular supporters that do not mind waiting for 30 minutes or longer to eat. I love to have it with white rice.

One of the oldest stalls for pig's organ soup in Singapore. This is a very famous stall and the queue is usually very long during lunch. The queue is still there even during the off peak period. The soup has a nice salted vegetable taste with spare parts like big intestine / small intestine, pig's stomach, pork balls, lean meat etc. I can have 2 bowl of rice with a bowl of this delicious pig's organ soup. I will be back.

I spotted the longest queue in this food centre. Many people spotted queuing up for a bowl of pig's organ soup or the glutinous rice roll patiently during the lunch hour.I ever tasted their pig's organ soup a really long time ago. I ever tasted their pig's organ soup a really long time ago. They were still having the pig's blood included then but no longer have it now as the government set a ban on the consumption of pig's blood in Singapore many years ago.

I still decided to join in and waited for about 20 minutes to order the smallest portion to be taken away for dinner at home. Ingredients like meat balls, big / small intestine, pig's stomach, lean meat and salted vegetable made up the pig's organ soup. The soup has gotten a nice taste of salted vegetable which i enjoyed. It went really well with the rice together with their special chilli.

It was a satisfying bowl of soup nonetheless.

Naturally because it's so famous, long queues await you. However, it will be worth the wait. Of course you must love pig organs like me. But not only that, the pig organ soup uses big slabs of real wholesome salted preserved vegetable. And that is, personally, one of the key to making good pig organ soup, authentic giam cai! YUM! just remembering it makes me drool. Sadly the hubby chatted with the folks running the stall and they said their children not interested in taking over the business. I really hope this is not the sad end to good food.

One of the other hard to find old school flavours at Koh Brother is the intestine stuffed glutinous rice with chestnut. It's the first time i had it and it's apparently rather difficult to find stalls that still make this. Definitely interesting.
