KOI Cafe was established in 2006 and came to Singapore in 2007. The first outlet in Singapore was in Toa Payoh. Most of the ingredients used in the making of the drinks are imported from Taiwan, in a bid to bring the authentic taste of Taiwanese milk tea to locals.

Queue is always spotted in KOI Bugis+. I had to queue for around 5 minutes to have a cup of bubble tea. It didn't seem long because the staffs were quite well-organized in serving the customers.Bubble Milk Tea (medium size) - $2.80. As always, I chose 50% sugar, therefore it's not overly sweet. The milk tea was fragrant and milky, while the generous amount of bubble inside was chewy and nice. I don't mind to queue for KOI again.

Bubble tea here is just good for quenching your thirst! Ordered my usual oolong milk tea with 30% sugar level. The sweetness is just nice for me as 50% will be too sweet (feels abit like drinking sugar water). Pearl is really chewy and they gave loads of mini peals.

My fancy towards Bubble Tea was expired, but a sudden craving was forcing me to buy a cup of it. I was in a lining up behind four or five people, I cannot explain why I am here to queue. The kiosk counter was packed yet organized, staffs were helping each other in preparing, packing and serving customers. No need further elaborations, KOI was famous enough to introduce. The drink was still the same as compared to last time in my memory, extremely milky chilling. Familiar texture of the bubbles, tiny ball-sized black pearl was chewy and wholesome. Soft lovely cup of tea was enough for my liking, satisfied to the max. Frankly speaking, it was not too good to take bubble often. At least 300 calories intake for a cup of milk tea, my word was just a gentle reminder.

Hubby and I reached Bugis+ quite early. He went to Sim Lim Square to get some stuff while I did a bit of window shopping at Bugis+ first. It was around 11am and I went to Koi to try out my luck (hopefully no long queue). So many people were raving about Koi but I had yet to try it out. Oh yes! Almost no queue! I placed my order for hazelnut milk tea and I was given the ticket number 61, with only 4 person before me The pearls were smaller and very chewy, but after sometimes, I found it a bit tiring to chew the pearls and there were harder than the norm. The hazelnut milk was nice though, but as I ordered 100% sugar, it ended up a bit too sweet.
