Named as the "The Third Place", Little Part 1 Cafe (LP1) is an indie cafe located in quaint Jasmine Road serving comfort food, coffee and alcohol that make the world goes round. This place is a perfect spot for lunch, dinner or simple a chill out session with friends and family.
Mains served here are European/Western cuisine centric, has a wide selection of craft beers, some desserts and coffee. Alert to all alcoholics (I'm not judging =D ), special 25% discount promo is available during Wednesday dinner time to ward off your mid-week stress.
Looking for a change, I ordered Gravy Chicken with Waffles ($17.9). My first taste of this unique concept was at Sin Lee Food which didn't impress me at all. Another place which I've known of its availability is at The Beast. Got to check that out soon!
Not only was the food photogenic, it tasted impressive and portion was huge too! The waffle was "chewy", soft yet dense, was drizzled with maple syrup and complemented really well with the juicy slabs of fried chicken. Savoury and sweet, all packed in each mouthful.
The Scallopini Crepe ($18.9) contained grilled chicken, herbs, thinly sliced onions and generous portion of mozzarella cheese. Portion was great and was orgasmic (taste) too! The crepe was a little chewy, the meat had substance, while the cheese and white wine sauce not just only whetted my appetite, but wet it as well.
The latte ($5) left me speechless! Reminded me of "never judge a book by its cover"! Good aroma, had hint of chocolate, medium bodied with a smooth and clean finishing. I enquired about the beans, but could only be disclosed that it is from a local supplier.
Amazing lunch session! Great food, portion and price. Definitely a recommended spot! Wonder if there is a Little Part 2 Cafe ?

Little Part 1 Cafe...

Was randomly pick this cafe thru my list as the name of it kinda of special...Where's Part 2??

When we reach the place, not much people inside, think the lunch time is over~ The cafe was surprisingly small, estimated around 20 pax at most? However it was cozy and vintage too~ it is a great option for small dinner hangouts...

We decided to go ahead with Chicken Schnitzel, Louisiana Crepe & Chicken Waffle~

Every dish came quite surprise as is quite big portion!!

My cousin was disappointed with the Chicken Schnitzal, even though it was crispy when she ate it, but not as tasty as Chicken waffle~ haha!!

Chicken Waffle is a combination of Breakfast & Dinner, it's just typical chicken cutlet with waffle but is frankly very tasty and tender~

Louisiana Crepe had no complain on it, my Boyfriend just love the crepe as the sauce is BBQ... never complain with the dish, is a good combination with it...

A succumbed to the Hot chocolate tempation and ordered one of their well known Big-Mug Hot Chocolate!!

Super Sweet~ afterall is worth to try~

I gotta to try their wing... when my next visit!!

The chocolate truffle cake is rich in flavor, though i would highly recommend not to order it together with the hot chocolate, it is simply chocolate overdose!

Perfect place for little gathering now and then. They have a shelf with a wide variety of books, and do bring your unwanted books to share!

This week, we visited Little Part 1 Cafe which is tucked away in Jasmine Road.Honey Roasted BBQ Ribs - $22.90 (3.5/5)So, my friend was instantly attracted to the ribs when he first saw the menu. He mentioned that the ribs were very tender and succulent, but the taste of the sauce reminded me of fried pork paste which can be a good thing and a bad thing at the same time. If you like fried pork paste like him, the sauce will taste awesome. But on the other hand, it's supposed to be Honey BBQ Ribs

Fish & Chips - $18.90 (2.5/5)

I decided to order the Fish & Chips as it was the cheapest in the menu (typical me
). First bite into the fish, it tasted alright, but then it tasted slightly fishy to me. I didn't manage to finish my food in the end.

The cafe's atmosphere was homey and cosy, much like Kombi Rocks. Oh and if you prefer to dine in alfresco, do check out their outdoor seating at the back.

I usually come here for a cosy dinner and a bottle of beer. The food here is not remarkable but decent enough, some items I have ordered are the Curry Fries (absolutely delicious), Shepherd's Pie (not bad), Chicken Schnitzel (good) and Pomodoro Chicken Wrap (average). You can choose your poison of choice from the wide selection of beers and ciders. On my last visit, a friend ordered a new cider they had just brought in (can't remember the name but it was strawberry flavoured) and it was good, not overly sweet like most other fruit ciders. My only gripe is that the prices of the food is a bit more expensive than what I would pay for at such a location.

The vibe here is very laid-back and non-pretentious, and feels a bit like a backpacker's cafe with a shelf of travel guides and memorabilia from a number of countries

My boss eyes laterally sparkles each time we suggest a new place for lunch. But having worked at Caldecott Hill for a while, we are fast running out of interesting options. That's when one of my colleague suggested checking out this well hidden Little Part 1 Cafe located near Thomson Plaza.

To be honest, I still can't really give clear instructions on how to get to the cafe. We drove pass the usual eateries stretch along Upper Thomson Road, then Thomson Plaza and the next thing we knew, our car stopped right outside this quaint little cafe!

Ooo... now we know Wednesday nights are a great time to visit!

While looking at the cafe's logo on one of its white walls, I wondered the rationale behind 'Little Part 1', is there a Part 2 or Part 3 cafe hiding in some secluded corner in Singapore?

We quickly settled down in a cozy corner right in front of a shelf with old toys, collectibles and happily started blabbing away.

The clean white wall just next to our table displayed framed travelogues of presumingly the cafe owners.

They are reputed to serve great crepes but if you need something more substantial for lunch or dinner - there's always the mains.

Hmm.. Cheeky Rascal sounds like a fun beverage!

When in Rome do as the Romans do. Make sure you obey Regulations #33!

Interesting way of delivering our cutlery.

Their Buffalo Wings were not mind-blowing amazing but still pretty good when they are served piping hot.

Chicken Schnitzel is one of their signature dishes. For me, it's just typical chicken cutlet. The only thing unique about it was the accompanying white wine sauce that went with the parmesan breaded chicken. Try it for the experience.

Next to arrive was our Bratwurst Brat - Smoked german sausages with Dijon sauce. It wasn't spectacular.

My colleague had the Belgian Fish & Mussel Stew. They are pretty generous with their serving of mussels and fish slices. I didn't get to try it but the colours looked really good and she sang praises of it till date.

Our Salmon Crepe wrapped with marinated salmon, sautéed onions and mushrooms with mozzarella cheese for sharing. No matter how hard I try, eating crepes is always a messy affair. Let's try not to imagine the aftermath.

Our sweet ending - Warm Apple Crumble With Ice Cream

Besides the interior dining area, the cafe offers Al fresco dining too!

Doesn't look that great in board daylight but might be a nice corner to chill out with friends over drinks on a weekday evening.

My verdict? It's a nice cozy cafe that serves decent food at a reasonable price but you will not want to travel cross the island just to visit it.

Last but no least, the Mud Pie as dessert. The outside of the mudpie was crisp which was lovely, but the inside was rather dry. I have to credit the cafe for attempting to achieve a warm oozy chocolate inside. They did achieve it to a small extent, but I would have preferred the inside of the mud pie to be much moister and richer with molten chocolate.
We had quite a bit of fun chatting in the cozy atmosphere. Overall, the food was good.

Read the raves of their Hot Chocolate and indeed, this is awesome. Or more than that. It's a really generous serving with marshmellows on top. 'The rich chocolatey taste!' This then lives up to it hahaha. Every sip is so satisfying that even my friend wanted to order it ha. Good news yeah all hot chocolate lovers! The only drawback is that this place is rather hard to locate; we took a cab there out of laziness. And ps. They are closed on Tuesdays and from 1500-1730 on weekdays, so don't be like

and as we were eating, i also caught a whiff of the traditional outback BBQ buffalo wings. they smelled soooo delicious! i'm coming back for them the next time

for the main dish, we ordered the irish beef stew ($21.90), only available on weekends! how exclusive. haha. traditional comfort food, the beef is stewed in Guinness for 6 hours, such that it is meltingly soft and dissolves on your tongue. the rich stew is really tasty! and i loved the salad and mash potato that came with it. actually the stew was supposed to be served with rustic toasted bread (which i would have loved to try!!!!), unfortunately, the person bringing the bread was late -.- so the waitress replaced it with mashed potato. which was buttery and fluffy (nice!), but i would have liked to try the bread

we also tried the pomodoro chicken crepe ($16.90) which i loved! it was a soft crepe encasing chicken, tomato, ricotta, mozarella and spinach. mmm the cheese was nice and gooey and lent a great flavour to the crepe. and all the ingredients blended together just nicely (:
there were a row of yummy looking desserts on display, and even though i was really full already, i couldn't say no, could i?
i had a hard time deciding between the brownie and mud pie, and MUD PIE ($7.50) won. well, i can't say it was a good choice >.< the outside of the mudpie was crisp which was lovely, but....the inside was rather dry. i have to credit the cafe for attempting to achieve a warm oozy chocolate inside - they did achieve it to a small extent, but i would have preferred the inside of the mud pie to be much moister and richer with molten chocolate.
