London Fat Duck is steady one for hearty Hong Kong roast meats. I tried their signature roast duck — skin crispy and meat juicy, very shiok! The char siew also sweet and tender, just nice. Service quite prompt and friendly, staff make you feel at home, not like some makan places rush you one. Ambiance simple and clean, nothing fancy but comfortable for makan with family or kakis. The Sichuan spicy crispy chicken and battered whitebait were both outstanding. The chicken came in tender, bite-sized pieces with a perfectly crispy exterior and just the right hint of spice. The whitebait was light, crunchy, and well-balanced in flavour. The spinach with eggs in stock was comforting, though the lotus root and pork rib soup was a tad too salty for my taste. The food here is excellent! The Pecking Duck was tender, juicy and the skin was perfectly crispy. Dim sum is equally impressive, moist yet never oily. Everything was so delicious that dishes disappeared before I could even snap a photo. A place that keeps you coming back for more.
