This famous chicken rice shop has been in this Lucky Plaza for really long time and always have many regular customers patrolling here, which includes me as well. Price for per chicken rice is at $4.50, which is rather expensive as the portion was not that much. However is the great taste that makes me feel that the price is reasonable. Chicken rice has nice grain that are not soggy and full of the nice chicken fragrant and also not too oily. Roasted chicken has very tender chicken meat that is tender and easy to chewy, and the fragrant roasted chicken skin is a must eat which super delicious. Vegetable soup is served here and free refilled is available as well. The stall owners and staffs are all very friendly and service orientated. Shop is clean and with simple layout.

Recently there is a hype over the price of chicken rice at orchard ion. Today I will review another orchard rd chic rice and thankfully it's not $8.50. Packet in a standard styrofoam box, I get around 10 slices of chicken and handful of chicken gizzards 鸡肝 together with the fragrant rice. This sets me back at $6. Roasted chicken is my choice, they also sell white chicken. My only gripe is its a little dry otherwise a fantastic eat, totally satisfying the chic rice craving. I also like that only lean meat is given. It's also nice they offer both dark soy sauce and chili for take away.

The FoodI ordered a plate of chicken rice and tasted pretty good. I tend to focus more on the rice because I feel that it is an important element in the dish beside the chicken. The rice is soft, fluffy and fragrant but I think that they can add more garlic and chicken stock to make it taste even better. The chicken is also tender and not dry even though it's chicken breast meat. The lightly salted soya sauce poured over the chicken is fragrant and added more flavour to the chicken. The PriceReasonably priced at $4 for the chicken and $0.30 for the rice OverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this!

I really love chicken rice, especially roasted chicken rice. It's like a must-try Singaporean dish. We went down to Lucky Plaza for lunch and ordered chicken rice for 4 and the set came with both steamed and roasted chicken, as well as 4 plates of rice and soup.Personally, I felt that the roasted chicken tasted better than the steamed chicken, because of personal preference and also the difference in the textures of the chicken.

Yes, i have this perception that Chicken Rice is the food staple of all Sporeans. Almost every stall i've seen wouldn't be doing too badly. Anyway this stall looks very much similar to Hainanese Delicacy at Far East, they also offer two types of chicken, white and roasted. At the kitchen area, you also see a tray specially designed to dish out several plates of standard 1 person portion of chicken. Thats means waiting time is extremely short. Priced at $4.50 per person's set, i would say portion wise is more delightful than the FEP one. Taste wise more to the salty side. Also i noticed i see more guys than girls, maybe its just coincidence?
