Me and my friend decided to eat (late) dinner near to the hotel we're staying.So we came here for the first time because we were curious and tempted to try their signature dish : sup tulang. Gotta admit it was really delicious! It came with 3 different portions (sgd 10,20,30). The gravy (sup) was the bomb. It met our Indonesian taste buds. Buf the 'tulang' only had few meats on it. We also ordered Nasi Goreng merah as the carbs. It was also good. We didn't order any drinks cos we got bottled water in our bags. I barely heard the waiter said 'Ok no drink. Charge then'. But I didn't hear it clearly. When we just finished eating, a family came and sat next to our table (outside) from inside the restaurant. Then a waiter came to their table to tell that outside food is not allowed. The father told that waiter to ask whether if there's any tolerance because they already ordered 3 meals there and that the outside food they brought is packed to eat it back home, not that they wanted to eat it here. Then the waiter told his boss and came back to say 'sorry outside food is not allowed'. I could see that the family was annoyed and then they got up and left. I've gotta say I was feeling kind of annoyed too there. Because for me it wasn't a nice thing to just rudely but smoothly tell people that they should not be eatting at their restaurant. That was an arrogant gesture. And what a pity, the mother of that family forgot to bring her phone with her when she left. I found it out when I got back to pay our dinner which we got charged (0.40 sgd) for either because I asked them for tissue or my friend got her bottled water out from her bag to drink, from the cashier. So I just concluded that they weren't nice enough treating their guests. But their foods are delicious 😢…查看更多
