Modern Asian Diner (MAD) is a collaboration between the TungLok Group, Bar Stories and Dick Lee. MAD offers exclusive east meets west dining experience that cannot be found elsewhere. This is most likely the only place to have dim sum with tapas and cocktails at the same time on the same table. We were there on a Saturday for lunch. And, we were seated on the high chairs at the high table right beside the bar as the rest of tables were filled. The menu was presented electronically using an ipad. We were asked to browse through and to order using this ordering system before passing it to the waiting staff.
We ordered Crispy Bun with Salted Egg Filling, Steamed Prawn Dumplings, Steamed Scallop and Octopus Siew Mai, Steamed Black Angus Beef Siew Mai and Beancurd Shrimp rolls. All tasted really good that i enjoyed them all.
Their service was noticeably friendly though not particularly efficient.
