I think this was the only restaurant within the River Safari compound, so we had lunch here out of convenience.I got myself the dumpling ramen which was quite bad. A dining place you should not miss whenever hanging around at the Giant Panda Forest, Mama Panda Kitchen promised a fun and young-at-heart experience. We consciously walked into this tourist trap and allowed ourselves to fall prey to these irresistibly alluring Panda Paus! At $3.90 each, it's indeed a hefty price to pay. After visiting Kai Kai & Jia Jia, will sure passby Mama Panda Kitchen the restaurant will attract not only children but a big child like me to go in. I normally try to avoid dining in Zoo/bird park or any tourist attractions, simply because I found the food there is expensive and normally not really nice. So I don't feel worth eating there. Bought a panda pau at mama panda kitchen after seeing kaikai and jiajia! It's actually very expensive for a pau but it's so cute so I couldn't resist not buying. So after taking photos of the cute pau, we proceed with eating it! Much to our disappointment, it's just an ordinary red bean paste bun and it didn't taste very nice also, the red bean paste was quite dry. For $2.90, other than it being aesthetically nice and a bit bigger, I don't think it's worth it.

I was visiting Kai Kai and Jia Jia in the zoo. Passing by this place, saw the cute little panda chairs, decided to go in to try.The Panda Pau ($2.90) - very expansive for a red bean pau, with very thick skin and not much filling. Only cute to look at.Set D (chicken chop ramen, cold cucumber, pudding) ($13.90) - very crispy chicken cutlet, the noodle is too overcooked. The pudding has a very milky taste with 2 longons inside.

Other than visiting KaiKai and JiaJia, this is the second reasons of our visit to the Giant Panda Forest.
