Average egg tarts

I am never a fan of Portuguese egg tarts after trying one from a fast food cafe and prefer the Chinese egg tarts! One of my mom's friend bought a box of 6 egg tarts for my family and they looked good! I decided to try one and it tasted better than my previous experience but not fantastic. The custard is creamy but other than that, the taste is just normal and nothing to rave about.

Chicken Curry Puff

I seldom pass by this shop when i was in JP. Mayson's Bakery sells both pastries, cakes and breads, quite like Prima Deli.Anyway i bought their Chicken Curry Puff ($2) but i find that the pastry skin is too thick while the potato curry fillings are a little bit too little. It may look big and worth the price, there is only a thick layer of filling in it. I only manage to taste the potato curry after my second bite. The pastry skin is nice and all but a bit dry. Would have preferred more fillings

Mayson's bakery is the only bakery I have yet to visit in Jurong Point and finally today, I had bought something from there. Chicken Vienna Bun at S$1.20. Comes with their own packaging with Mayson's Stall name and website printed on the plastic bag. Chicken sausage was rather different from the usual hotdog we had from bakery. It has a different taste and thinner in size. Top was the bun was designed with a "S" marked by nachos cheese flavor. Variety of buns available was not that wide. Beisde

 Top was the bun was designed with a "S" marked by nachos cheese flavor. Variety of buns available was not that wide. Beisde the shop, there was a refridgator that sells tarts. Durian Tarts are under promotional items in celebration of the upcoming Hari Raya. Their varieties of tarts and pastries much more interesting that the breads.

Squad watch your front! Squad Attention! When i was a soldier a few months ago, i would visit this place twice a week to bring it to my camp as there was no canteen whatsoever. That would usually be an 'Ah Lau" selling chicken rice, duck rice, salted pancake, you tiao, teh, coffee, soya bean, nasi lemak chop chop curry pop and so on and so forth.

I would usually go to Mayson's bakery where they also sell Nasi Lemak! This place is packed in the morning. I would usually reach Boon Lay around 7:10 in the morning. It takes me 1 and a half hours to get here because back then they didnt really have the circle line so i have to change trains at Outram to Boon Lay!

So some mornings, il head over to Mayson and i will order Set B!

There are 2 sets here.

Set A- Nasi Lemak Rice with Chicken Wing and a sunny side up egg

Set B- Nasi Lemak Rice with fishcake, sausage and a sunny side up egg.

They also have other varieties such as Mee Hoon, Mee Goreng and Kway Teow.

Other than that they also serve drinks such as Kopi, Teh, Milo and more stuff.

So other than ordering these few stuffs, i would order other sides with it as well, for me i would add a stick of seaweed chicken. There are other stuff such as fried chicken breast, fishcake, otak otak etc and the list goes on.

The service staff there is quite fast as the queue is really really long! I cant imagine if they took their time! But they are really good!

The taste of this food is quite good! Very tasty but with the amount of monosodium glutamate that is added to the rice and the food, it will be too much and you will have to drink a lot of water!

Overall, if i would go back to this place if i am around this area.. else i wouldnt go all the way simply because it is too far!!!

Fried Beehoon for breakfast!

Located at the convenient corner in between the bus interchange and the MRT station, I always see lots of people queuing up to buy their breakfast every morning when I walk past the shop.  There was a variety of side dish to choose from and I ordered their fried beehoon together with a sausage and a fishcake. The portion of fried beehoon given was a little too much for me to finish. The overall taste was not too bad and the price was reasonable too.

Chicken Pie

I have been looking for good chicken pie all around Singapore. I tried the chicken pie from Mayson's Bakery for the first time. It tasted quite nice. I can taste chunky pieces of chicken meat in it together with potato and carrot. The pastry got a nice buttery taste. This is not the best but i do not mind eating it again and also try out the rest if i come to Jurong Point.

this place regualrly marks down their breads to noly $1 a piece! i love their coconut buns. especially at $1 a piece. the choices and variety changes daily so you don't always get the same stuff, which is a bit unpredictable, unlike at bread talk where every day it is the same stuff and you know you can get it every day! but mayson is pretty good. their breads are fresh and nicely cooked. not too soft, not too tough. nice efficient service. recommended!

Bought this Cheese Floss Bread for breakfast. First bite, the bread was a bit hard and dry. However, they were quite generous with the chicken floss, that was just nice. The cheese sprinkled on top of the bun adds the crunch. I can smell the aroma of chicken floss. The cheese and the chicken floss was goes well with the bread. I rather buy Break Talk's bread.

I was late for a meeting with my customer at Jurong point and i needed to have a quick bite before the meeting. I happen to see the Mayson's Bakery stall selling baked goods and the items on the display case looks tempting. I decided to order a chicken pie and tuna puff. The crust of the pie and puff is light and fluffy with a nice buttery taste. The chicken and tuna filling was a bit lacking as you need to take about 2 bites before you taste the filling.

I went hunting for snack while waiting for my partner to have late lunch at the newly opened Sergeant Kiang's Kitchen. Mayson's Bakery is conveniently located right at one of the entrances hence it became an obvious choice. I was contemplating whether to try one of those egg tarts or chicken pie but settled for the pie.I took a bite on the light and flaky pastry and only after the fourth bite then i started to taste the filling. A few small pieces of chicken meat surfaced. I have tried better ch

At first, i would step into this bakery shop because from the furnishing and stuff, i would think this shop is expensive. Furthermore there are so many bakery shops in jurong point and around it. But then, i am very curious. So here, i bought raisin bread, i know there is a better name for it but i forget it already. Not bad, raisin bread always taste good for me. There are fresh egg tarts and stuff but i didn't buy because i didn't have enough money. I will try it other time.

Mayson bakery sells really delicious Portuguese egg tart. All their tarts are freshly baked in their shop. They have different flavours such as original, durian, and cheese. I tried the original and cheese the other day. I would recommend the original egg tart as compare to the cheese one. The cheese egg tart taste exactly the same as the original one, but they just added a tiny slab of cheese on top, and the cheese didn’t melt fully, so it was very well mixed. i was feeling a little hungry and was looking around for yummy breakfast. i happened to pass by mayson's bakery when i was walking into the mall. the egg tarts displayed at the display counter looks really awesome, it was the Portuguese kind. i decided to try the original and cheese flavour.the cheese flavour one wasnt as special as i thought it would be, it's just normal portuguese tart with a tiny slab of cheese placed in the centre of the tart. the cheese was a little salty has it kind of ove

the cheese flavour one wasnt as special as i thought it would be, it's just normal portuguese tart with a tiny slab of cheese placed in the centre of the tart. the cheese was a little salty has it kind of overpower the sweetness of the egg tart.

the original however, was really good, tasted like the kind of egg tarts i ate in hong kong and macau. the tart was not oily at all, the egg filling was a little burnt, but not too burnt. it also wasnt very sweet.

i would recommend the original flavour egg tart if u feel like eating portuguese eat tarts.

I like their Croissants a lot as they are crispy on the outside and warm and fluffy on the inside with a very nice butter taste. That is provided that those are freshly baked. Sadly, they dun have standard timings which they would bake them. And its only 4 for $2.80!! So if you see them hot out the oven, GRAB THEM!!
