Operating out of an old school shophouse, Mei Yuen Restaurant specialises in roasted chicken rice.Roasted chicken and vegetables with rice ($18.50 for 3 pax): Served on a bed of beansprouts, the roasted chicken was not only tender and juicy but the skin was crispy too. Now, that is the difference between a great roast and a decent one, the skin of course. The chicken rice was fluffy and tasty with a hint of garlic. Personally, I prefer chicken rice that isn’t too strong in taste, so this was just right to me, but maybe not so for hardcore fans of chicken rice. My only gripe was that the chili lacked the kick and wasn’t spicy enough. That aside, this was definitely one of the best roasted chicken rice I have had in Singapore.查看更多

This was one restaurant where the boss still roast their own roast pork, char siew and roast duck. Usually I would come here for their roast duck. This restaurant had been around in Katong for many years. Usually I will come here for their roast duck but that's another review.My partner wanted to eat noodle, since we were there we might just eat there. The noodle was well cooked and still have the springy feeling. But the char siew a little dry on that day. Overall with their sauce it still makes a good meal. 查看更多

Alot of good food can be found along this stretch of road , and that is also the reason that the carparks are really hard to find especially on weekends. This restaurant has been there for many years and little renovation has been done. But the crowds are still coming in every weekends. I am also a fan of their noodle especially the chicken noodle. I like the roasted chicken skin which was really fragrance. Char Siew are mostly lean meat which was really guilt free eating. But it seem that the price seem to increase as I was charged 9 plus for 2 plates of noodle and 1 barley drink. 查看更多
