What I like about this korean mixed rice is its generous servings of shredded cucumber, carrot, beansprouts and seaweed. Korean mixed rice requires one to mix all these side dishes up, together with the runny egg and the BBQ chicken. Unfortunately, this dish is quite a let down since it is quite tasteless as I could only vaguely taste the spiciness of the chicken. The complimentary soup on the other hand is too salty. At $4.50 (NUS student price), the serving is fairly large and does constitute a hearty meal. In terms of service, I feel that it was fairly good. I was served by either an Indonesian or a Filipino lady who had changed my order promptly when she realized that my mixed rice had been added with chili when I had told her specifically earlier that I do not want any chili. kudos to her for that.

What I like about this place is the free flow of Kimchi like what a real Korean restaurant does, and the prices are reasonable.However I am dissapointed with the service and food.Ordered 1 Bibimbap, 1 Kimchi soup and 1 fried rice cake. Bibimbap was Ok, Kimchi soup was a bit of dissapointment.After we finished the Bibimbap and Kimchi soup, the rice cake was still not served. Suspecting that either the waitress or kitchen had forgotten about it, I asked the same waitress again. I told her that if the rice cake is forgotten, then nevermind we will just cancel it. She asked us to wait as she go check with the kitchen, afterwhich she came back and say sorry the kitchen is preparing now. Ok, since it is "undergoing preparation" then I will wait. In less than 3 minutes, the rice cake is served on a hotplate. One bite on it was a great great dissapointment! Not only does it taste lousy, the inside of the ricecake is cold! That means that the kitchen just rushed out the ricecake because they forgot about it. I told the waitress and she just said "Cannot be" in chinese, but offered to reheat it again. I was fed up as to why have to make me wait again for their mistakes and left without eating. While paying, I told the cashier the story but she did not do anything too.Final verdict, will never come here again.

I like to have this Korean mixed rice on a starving rainy day for few reasons: the portion is huge, and the spiciness is comforting! The dish contains lots of vegetables, cucumber, carrot, bean sprouts, seaweed etc, as well as chicken strips cooked in spicy sauce, it is a pretty balanced diet. If you like it to be hotter, you could always ask for more spicy sauce. Love the taste!

I fell in love with korean cuisine ever since visiting korea last year and since then I've always been drawn to korean dishes, especially that of kimchi. Tried the kimchi fried rice here I must say it's really addictive as I ended up eating this almost every week! The kimchi fried rice alone is $4.50 and if you add meat (chicken, beef or pork) it's $5.10. Pretty worth it as they give a generous amount of rice and meat. The rice is slightly spicy and the kimchi can get a little salty at times but I love the sticky consistency of the rice. A staple for me! p.s. their other dishes are good too but i'll save those for a separate review ;)
