My friends raved about the matcha ice cream at MOF, so it was a must to try it!! There were many different kinds of ice cream desserts on the menu but we were only looking at the ones with matcha. there was one with matcha ice cream, with red bean and glutinous rice balls, another one with the matcha ice cream and cereal at the bottom, and the third one which has the ice cream, red bean and fruit toppings. the glutinous rice balls looked good and we wanted everything on one ice cream so we added glutinous rice balls as an additional topping on the one we choose (with red bean and fruit toppings)! This place offers a 10% discount at teatime. The soft ice-cream is good but can be creamier. The fried tapioca pancake is hot so you get a mixture of hot and cold sensation in the mouth when eaten with ice-cream, I was there for a chillout session with friends, and we got a matcha fruitti ice-cream. these choices because we planned to stay there for a long time (didn't want to go home so soon) and their ice-creams would have been polished real fast.…查看更多

I like MOF food,because they are nice.This unagi with rice was mild sweet.i simply love the sauce! It is really taste good with sea weedsMix the rice with the sauce and ingredients before eat.Went to MOF must order the high quality desserts.Because it is VERY nice..!!!The icecream,fruits,glutinous rice ball and the syrup also nice.I really like their icecream,their sweetness is just right,and is very smooth.Because of the nice icecream,i like to eat the riceball too.The glutinous riceball is very soft,chewy and QQ.The normal stall's glutinous ball is tasteless and very sticky,but this is very tasty and will not stuck in my teeth.The combination of all ingredients is really great.!Although it is very tasty,but the price is quite expensive.…查看更多

I tried their Salmon Sashimi, Tofu with Unagi, their Fried Salmon Belly and some other main dishes. My favourite side dish is the Tofu with Unagi on it. It is quite nice, especially when you dip the tofu into the sauce. The whole dish looks cute and tastes simply smooth. There was something like hotpot Unagi which was also not bad.The staffs are generally all quite polite and the serving of food was prompt. The only thing I feel not so attractive is that the layout of the tables in the restaurant was very cramped up and the waitresses, no matter how slim, banged into our chairs quite a few times while trying to serve the tables around us. …查看更多

This is a japanese restaurant that served many variety of food. There food there nice, the atmosphere there was just right. Ordered quite a number of foods everything taste good! Thumb up! The set lunch (menu as shown in picture) is kinda value for money - not only is the serving kinds generous, the food is also delicious. For those with sweet tooth, you can also order the dessert after having your main course at a special rate of $4.80 (but limited to desserts which are below $6.80). However, I feel that the service of the restaurant needs to be improved. I actually wanted to have the fish set but was told that it is not available. I ordered Macha Mixed Imo. It is soft and is vanilla ice cream serve with green tea sauce, red bean paste and 1 sweet yam, 1 sweet potato together in the bowl. The ice cream was very creamy milk and the green tea sauce was goes well with the sweet yam and sweet potato. Never had tried of this kind of dessert, surprisingly very special and nice. Their salmon sashimi is surprisingly fresh and juicy! Compatible to other sushi restaurants. Next i had their dessert. The mochi are crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Mixed them with red bean paste which is sweet and nice!…查看更多

I dont know what's the fuss about MOF. After one time of dining there,I swear to myself I won't go back there again.My main course was the curry rice with ebi tempura. Taste like those packet curries.Nothing spectacular. We ordered salmon belly,a sizzling plate of pork cutlet and tori karaage as side dishes.The salmon belly is the best of everything we've ordered but the portion was really small.The Tori Karaage is normal,just fried chicken pieces but portion was even smaller(see picture). I had the Macha Zen with almond flakes, which is my usual. The almond flakes were not as crispy nor as fragrant as the ones i had before, got the feeling it might have been kept for a long time. The red bean paste was great as always though, soft and sweet, and so was the green tea ice cream. The dumplings were pretty tasteless, but is really chewy and goes well with the sweet red bean paste. Service was prompt, the waitress came immediately whenever we need to order or to ask for the bill. Serve with a smile too, which i think should how all F&B service should be like. …查看更多

It was my first time having my meal at Ministry of Food. It was still early but I am hungry so have to stop for dinner. We happened to chance upon Ministry of Food and decided to have our meals in there. The portion of the food was quite standard. I had udon and I quite like it but my friends complained that their udon or ramen were not nice. Is there something wrong with me..maybe it was because I am too hungry and everything to me was okay.
