We didn’t make a reservation on Friday night, and just about managed to get a small table outdoors. In addition to a pretty comprehensive menu, they also had some specials written on a chalkboard. We decided to share the ravioli stuffed with porcini in a truffle cream sauce as a starter. This set our hopes pretty high for the meal – the ravioli wasn’t too thick or chewy, the filling was generous and the cream sauce was good,The pasta, which was apparently home-made, wasn’t rolled out very thin so it didn’t have the smooth silkiness of the home-made stracci at Pasta Brava.Prices seemed quite cheap, with the premium pastas going for just $22, but portions are on the small side – definitely meant for a first course rather than a proper main. Service wasn’t too bad!! 繼續閱讀

Robertson Quay is like a food paradise. My hubby and i was having our haircut and treatment at UE Square. After our haircut, we were hungry and decided to go nearby to eat. We happen to passby Mondo Mio and decided to have dinner in there. Overall, i think food not too bad, service is friendly and quick. Price wise, i think quite reasonable and affordable. Definitely will come back to dine again. 繼續閱讀

Long overdue, I came here for my friend's birthday. If I wasn't invited then I'd never know there's this kind of lane with all restaurants; very chic lane indeed!Anyhow, since it was his birthday, so I was preparing my tummy far long and reminding him "I can order aaaanything right?" without shame. Thank goodness he gave a green light so it was a gastromonic journey from appetizer to dessert! Sadly I didn't take any pictures, but what we ordered first on the table for appetizer was the bruschetta and garlic bread. It's not too special, I knew I was scarfing it like mad since I was hungry. But the tomatoes were freshly diced on top. Refreshing! For the main course, I ordered their special menu of the day, their tagliatelle ($26++). This is a type of pasta size, which is flat and wide in its width. It was with some meat, which I've forgotten. It was my first time to try this type of pasta and dish, but truthfully, it really tasted delicious. I remember it had green sauce, not spicy, but it was goooood. It's a must try since it's their special! For the dessert, again, I chose the special/recommended one on the list, must have that special star where the chef recommended. Although I don't exactly remember what it was, it was soooooo oozing good, I'm sure it was something chocolate and ice-cream.However it was a nice place to chill and hang out in the evening with a good view. The food doesn't grow on you though, there's far more better Italian restaurants around... 繼續閱讀

Love the homemade ravioli ($23++)! Filled with wild porcini mushrooms and dressed in an incredibly rich and heavy truffle cream sauce.Lasagne bolognese ($17++): oven-baked and interlaced with bechamel, beef sauce, eggs, basil and mozzarella cheese.Like the ravioli, portions are not big but just nice enough to have lots of desserts thereafter. The tiramisu ($10++) scores points for having a thicker layer of ladyfingers relative to mascarpone cheese. Moist and well soaked without being overly creamy. There’s a 3 course set lunch priced at $12 nett but I’m quite suspicious of its quality since it’s really dirt cheap. The restaurant is very small so unless you like to dine al fresco (in this sweltering heat??), remember to make a reservation! =)For photos/reviews, drop by www.myfoodsirens.wordpress.com =) 繼續閱讀
