There's a couple of prata coffeeshops here in this area and Mr Prata is the better one to choose from. Their friendly service and helpful owners are simply pleasant for a coffeeshop! This is one of the go to places when my family are just too darn lazy to cook. Our favorites here are the Chicken wraps, pizzas and yes their Briyani Rice. Their briyani rice is fluffy and ohh the spices.. you just gotta loove the fragrant smell of it.. Im not saying its one of the best in Singapore.. But for me.. its one of the best in Tampines ... Where can you find Chicken/Mutton Briyani Rice that comes with a Hard Boiled Egg? At first i was taken aback thinking that's a weird combo.. But hey! It works.. specially when you mix it with their achar... try it to believe it okay! So that's my parent's favorite.. not mine..Their Chicken Wrap is the best dish to have especially on a wet rainy day! For only $6 bucks.. you get a 7/8 inch toasted wrap full of shredded lettuce, carrots, tomatoes and sweeeet chicken meat covered with mayonnaise! Plus you get a side of thick cut fries! Okay... my mouth is watering now.. anyways.. The best deal you can ever get around here.. and its only $6.. sweet yo! 繼續閱讀

Mr Prata is well known for their scrumptious crispy prata's that are really made for perfection. However, they sell other ala carte items too such as mee goreng which I tried this time round. I had asked for a vegetarian version and they cooked me one. The portion was pretty huge. I must say, the noodles were pretty good. However, after a few more servings, I found it to be rather plain. They could do a better job of adding more vegetables to substitute for the meat and it would have been perfect. The noodles were not too oily either which is often a concern and most prata shops. Service wise, staff at the outlet were all very friendly and sincere which came as a pleasant surprise for me Orders did take awhile to be served due to the crowds which were always constant. This seemed to be a usual hang out for dinner/supper. Despite the crowds, one could still find seats available. Be prepared to wait a good 15-20mins though 繼續閱讀

Many people have previously told me that the dish we Singaporeans call Roti Prata, (aka in Malaysia as Roti Canai) does not exist in India. My patient confirmed that it is not true. Roti Prata does exist in India, but only in a small part of Southern India and predominantly in a place called Chennai. Over there, this dish is simply called Prata. this stall in tampines is the best prata canai aka prata roti I ever tried, best in town and what I love it the curry, it is hot and authentic. thanks to my friend, else i wouldnt be able to come to this place. 繼續閱讀

I like the roti prata at this stall, it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I ordered a plate of brinjal and a plate of mutton curry to go along with the prata. The brinjal was tasty but very oily. The mutton pieces were very hard to chew, like rubber.Their ice lemon tea was super nice, there are lime inside. Two pieces of prata + a plate of brinjal+ a plate of curry mutton+ ice lemon tea cost S$7.20, I would say is a reasonable price. 繼續閱讀

Besides selling the normal roti prata, they also sell many different types but i still stick to my favourite egg prata. The prata is very fragrant and crisp and the curry is one of the best, very nice blend of spices for the fish curry and spicy enough to go with the prata. For those who cant take too much spicy, you may request for the vegetable curry which my son did.The mee goreng is also very nicely fried and fragrant and not too oily unlike most indian stall's mee goreng are very oily but i will still come here for their prata since i like the prata and fish sauce. The teh tarik is okay and milo also normal, nothing fantastic to recommend. 繼續閱讀
