Was craving for ice cream and went to Upper Thomson to look for one. Udders is crowded as usual and happened to see Neli's Ice Cream. It is a travel themed ice cream cafe and it is quite cute, as Singapore doesnt have much themed cafes. Was happy that they have earl grey and happier when I saw chrysanthemum sorbet as not many ice cream places do this. It was not a weird combi, it tasted good even though there is chocolate sauce drizzled on it. Best part of this cafe is there is a very clean toilet!! 繼續閱讀

I think $12.00 for their pint is quite worth it. Immerse yourself with the flavor you had chosen at the comfort of your home and time. Also comes in standard and premium flavor, in scoop. We ordered 3 premium flavors plus 1 standard. Super like!Butterscotch Nuts (bestseller) has the buttered walnuts in a whisky ice cream base, and the Rum Raisin flavor. Ribena Sorbet (standard flavor), and Brandied Cherry Choc. I love their brandied cherry choc among all 4 flavors we had Bright, spacious ice cream shop, and free sampling is allowed. I think their flavors are quite strong, thus if you had the Stout Chocolate (which I think is pretty unique), you can expect a strong stout taste tickling your tastebuds! For full review and more photos, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2013/09/neli-ice-cream.html 繼續閱讀

Finally visited NeLi’s Icecream at Thomson! It’s a travel-themed ice cream place and it’s very quirky and cool for travel enthusiasts where you can spend maybe an hour there reading up on travel tips left by other patrons in the notebooks and you can leave your own tips there as well! I wanted to write something in it but unfortunately the books were filled up. It’s categorized according to continents. They also have a book shelf on the “second” level of the cafe where the owners display the ornaments they brought back from their overseas trips and many guidebooks as well. Really interesting concept of the cafe, wouldn’t mind going there again for the good ice cream, nice ambience and fantastic reads. We went there around 5pm so there wasn’t much people around, weird timing but we had ice cream before dinner because all the other dining places weren't opened yet.We ordered 2 scoops of premium ice cream because I really wanted to try something different and richer. So we ordered stout chocolate (my friend chose it) and Butterscotch nuts. Both of the flavours contain mild alcohol with the former having some stout beer and the latter having whiskey in it. Even if you don’t like beer, I strongly recommend stout chocolate as the beer smell/taste was covered by the chocolate, but yet they complement each other. Butterscotch Nuts was nice as well, tasted somewhat like Rum and Raisin kind yet with a buttery and vanilla aftertaste. 繼續閱讀

If you are down to try something quite awesome... this is another of the shops where you can go... They have many many many many many many new flavors that i may never have tried. One of them is the Ribena sorbet. How amazing, i mean there i like blackcurrant i blend etc but this is really creative. Located at Upper Thomson, this place can treat you to many delights and after a long week, this is a good place to chill. The taste of the ice cream was like woah a little sour as expected to me but thats not a bad thing... its a good thing...The staff is pretty good... very alert and very prompt together with its great dining and lights makes a good place for friends to chill. Also i bought a cup of tea to wash that taste down my throat.Total spent was around $6 on a saturday night. 繼續閱讀

I had craving for some ice cream so decided to head down to Upper Thomson, the land of ice creams. There are SOOOO many ice cream shops in that area, the competition must be very stiff. The shop is just opposite Salted Caramel and Udders. It's concept is very interesting and something that most people could relate to. The shop is travel-themed, and the interior is a beautiful light blue shade. There is a section that has travelogues. These books are for customers to pen down their travel experiences according to the various continents. There is even a bookshelf loaded with travel guides! I'm sure those who love travelling or those who like to share their thoughts would enjoy the place. It's a great place to chill with friends, catch up... Or even to do work on an afternoon! I would probably study there if I stay nearby. We sampled several flavours and had quite a hard time deciding. I like that their Vanilla ice cream is spotted with traces of vanilla beans.Stout Chocolate was quite shiok.Other refreshing flavours that I've tasted are Pear Sorbet and Chrysanthemum Sorbet.Eventually, we went for Horlicks and Chocolate Banana on Waffles, with both maple and chocolate syrup.I really like their waffles. In my opinion, their waffles taste nicer than Udders'!Flavours wise, not very creative.. But they are coming up with more.Overall, I think it's not bad a place for a quick ice cream treat! (: 繼續閱讀
