Worst steak ever. Don’t come here if you don’t want to get disappointed. We ordered porterhouse steak and it was already cold by the time it’s served. The mushroom sauce that came with it was already bad and sour. We asked for it to be replaced but they didn’t come back to with the new sauce at all. Service is not that good either. 繼續閱讀

Was at Orchard Gateway, felt to have steak for lunch. Thus remembered this Resturant at level 4. We ordered fish Marsala , Alice fried chicken and some wines. While waiting , we have a compliment bread with butter. Its smell so nice when it was cut and top with butter is superb. Served about 10mins. The dish finally arrived. The first taste of cucumber with fish sliced was so fresh and tender. The sauce covered on top of fish is very perfect combination. Alice fried chicken on the other hand served with fries and hams on top of breast chicken. It is suddenly well cooked and cheese topping make is a decorative arts. I like those fresh standard they have set. Ending with wines Wallaby Darned to beat the warm weather. 繼續閱讀

See pictures at http://thehungrybunnie.blogspot.sg/2015/07/outback-steakhouse-orchard-gateway.htmlWe'd initially thought of Outback as an Aussie barbie version of Pasta Mania, so it was quite a big surprise that the food here was decent, almost commendable. This isn't Wooloomooloo, but at these price points, it'sthe cheaper, better Morganfield's.We had:1) Baby Back Ribs & Alice Springs Chicken Combo ($34.90): half a rack of juicy, fork-tender ribs burnished with a tangy bbq sauce that was finger-licking good, and petite chicken breast layered with sauteed mushrooms, crisped bacon and smothered in melted monterey jack and cheddar was flame-grilled to a moist perfection. This was sided by hearty handmashed potatoes, skins and all.2) Seafood Mix Grill ($29.90): a massive platter of smoky grilled mahi fillet (watch out for bones), seared shrimp and scallops, set atop a piquant mango salsa, and paired with buttered steamed vegetables, and a somewhat middling corn on the cob. Of note was the fat succulent scallops, which were done perfectly 繼續閱讀

Conviently located in Orchard Gateway is outback steakhouse. We arrived at 9pm on a weekday and the dining room was pretty much empty. The staff were still very cheerful and friendly.Based on their menu, it seems to have pretty much the same stuff you would find at any Outback in other countries.Outback Steakhouse is a steakhouse concept with more than 1,000 locations spanning 22 countries. Established in Tampa, Florida in 1988, each restaurant is a friendly, casual and relaxing place embodying the spirit of the Australian Outback with bold flavorful food.Outback takes great pride in serving the freshest, highest-quality food. I remember having some good memories with their grilled seafood, steak and blooming onions! The dining area is mainly made up of booths.1. Typhoon Bloom $14.90++For an appetizer, you cannot go wrong with the Typhoon Bloom for all onion ring lovers. It is no blooming onion, and to be honest. It looks like alot less effort went into this compared to a blooming onion. It is a hand-cut, fresh onion, dusted with Outback's own secret seasonings, stacked high and cooked until golden. The sauce provided in the center is their spicy signature bloom sauce. It's kind of tangy and I liked the creaminess of the sauce. I felt like the onion was fried abit too much and hence it was slightly on the dry side but other than that. It met my expectation of massive fried onion!2. Sirlion and Baby Back Ribs $39.90++This is a 6oz. siganture USDA sirloin paire with half a rack of smoked baby back ribs served with aussie thick cut fries. It is an okay portion for just one pax. But the juiciness of the steak justifies the pricing.Ths ribs were also tender and though it didn't quite fall of the bones. It was tender enough for me to consider whether or not it was completely fresh, or fresh-frozen. Either ways, for $40++ you are getting a decent dinner.3. Toowomba Chicken $24.90++Sauteed shrimp and buttom mushrooms, tossed in a tomato cream sauce and served over grilled chicken. The shrimp and the mushrooms were delicious. I wish I could've asked a top up of a side of shrimp for this! The vegetables were steamed and had the right texture. I felt that the chicken was on the dry side and I didn't quite enjoy it. The tomato cream sauce, helped make the dry chicken slightly more bearable. 繼續閱讀

Outback Steakhouse is a well-known and well-loved Australian-styled steakhouse, featuring a huge variety of steaks, burgers and seafood items, amongst others. The range of items is indeed impressive - we spent almost 15 minutes poring over the menu, unsure of what to order as everything looked so good!We finally settled on a good mix of appetizers and combos, allowing us to sample a bit of everything Outback has to offer. The Alice Springs Chicken Quesadilla consisted of a tortilla stuffed with grilled chicken, mushrooms, bacon and cheese, accompanied by a honey mustard sauce. While the quesadillas were overall toasty and delicious, the morsels of grilled chicken breast were unfortunately rather tough and dry. A good dollop of the honey mustard sauce masked this flaw well enough though. We also had the Aussie Cheese Fries, topped with Monterey Jack, Cheddar and bacon. A ranch dressing was served on the side. This was a plate of good old greasy cheesy goodness, so sinful but so timelessly good.We ordered a Crab-topped Sirloin to share, and together with the two accompanying sides of baked potato and sweet potato, the portion was huge. The steak itself was tender and juicy, although there appeared to be a strange aroma wafting from it. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was, but my partner seemed completely oblivious to it. The chunks of lump crabmeat were similarly soft and satisfying to the bite although the taste was a bit too pungent for my liking. The side carbohydrates were outstanding. The baked potato was topped with the obligatory cheese and bacon bits, finished with a huge dollop of butter. It was extremely fragrant and buttery, and absolutely delicious. The sweet potato was so huge and so exceeding sweet! I certainly had not expected an entire sweet potato to be served. It was a pleasant and welcome surprise though, as its soft and crumbly texture was so moreish. If you are looking for a classic steakhouse to have your fill of excellent grills, look no further than Outback. 繼續閱讀
