Peach Garden @ The Metropolis

One would be spoilt for choices with their a la carte menu or buffet. Food wise and taste of dishes are acceptable and expected. Service was prompt at the Metropolis outlet which we visited. The minus points were:1) as our table was at the end of one corner, the sun rays were shining in and may cause discomfort to diners2) while dining, the aircon vent outlet was dripping which affected the dining experience 3) generally, tables were packed back to back and space can be quite tight and not easy to move around 4) at the time of visit, the mall toilets were under renovations and nearest toilets were at L1. Can be quite inconvenient5) as my order was a set menu, I was surprised when they informed me that they ran out of spinach and will be replaced with bok Choy.  I tried their dim sum and it was fresh and tasty. The siew mai had a nice bite, and the custard bun was creamy and sweet. For mains, the roasted Peking duck was crispy on the outside and tender inside, just like how I like it. The ambiance is modern and comfortable, with floor-to-ceiling windows letting in natural light. Service was attentive, though sometimes a bit slow during peak hours. Soooooo good! The location is excellent — right next to Buona Vista MRT. Just cross the road via the underpass, then take the escalator or lift up to the 2nd floor. If you’re driving, there’s parking at the building, but no complimentary parking.The service team was very accommodating and friendly, which made the experience even better.Now, the food — absolutely yummy! The presentation of the dishes really wowed us. Maybe it was because we were celebrating a birthday, but every dish looked beautiful and tasted fantastic.We enjoyed the beef cubes, sweet and sour pork, prawn wasabi, carrot cake, broccoli with crab meat and tofu, kailan, fried rice, and the longevity peach buns (寿桃). These are all the food that i tried from their dim sum set menu, although the options were limited, the food was served very quickly and it came hot. The staff were all also very nice and patient when explaining their current menu and promotions they had. They also kept refilling the tea for our table without us having to do it ourselves…查看更多
