http://phuachiuyen.wordpress.com/2013/07/20/penang-delights/Ang Mo Kio’s Penang Lor Kuay Tiao was decently good! The chilli was spicy enough. I think it's the chilli that got me craving for mouthful after mouthful. The meats were real soft. Portion wise kind of little but what more to ask for since it's only priced around $3?There’s an egg and some bean sprouts and kang kong too. Portion wise, quite little but better than nothing.I love the sticky paste slightly sourish spicy taste. To me, it's not too sticky and difficult to eat. The paste was quite alright, slightly sticky but not to the extend of way too sticky that gets messy and irritating.Usually doesn't have a queue also. Cheap and tasty. 繼續閱讀

Penang Delights was voted as one of the top prawn noodle stalls in Singapore by Channel U viewers. Indeed, it is also one of my two favourite places to go to for a tasty bowl of prawn noodles besides Whitley Road Big Prawn Mee.This stall is located at the S11 Food Court (in front of Jubilee Square) and just beside the popular Rasa Sayang Western Food Stall.Though I was here over the weekend during peak lunch hour, the queue was relatively short but almost every table in that section of the food court had traces of their prawn mee. Anyway, long queue doesn’t equate to good food. Short queue doesn’t mean it’s bad food either. For Penang Delights, it just means serving good food in the fastest time possible. When I was standing by the stall while waiting for my order, I saw this delightful pot of prawn broth that was really frothy on the top. The smell of fried prawn heads and shells that went into the soup was just so fragrant. When I took a spoonful of the soup, it was indeed as aromatic as I expected it to be. Concentrated and full of flavour but not fishy at all. There were also full size prawns with heads intact (so you can suck the juices), lean pork slices, fish cake slices, bean sprouts and kangkong. I also liked the texture of the noodles that was cooked just right, firm and springy. For full review and pictures, please visit http://springtomorrow.com/2013/11/14/penang-delights-prawn-mee-lor-mee-s11-ang-mo-kio-central/ 繼續閱讀

This particular stall has been around for quite long. Since i was young i think! I got some feedback that this is not the best stall around for lor mee but maybe i'm used to the taste already. There's nothing i don't like about this lor mee. The gravy is flavorful and i always request for more chili and vinegar, love the ingredients especially the pieces of fatty meat, noodles texture is ok too! Great combination and it's a lovely bowl of noodle =) Reasonable for $3 per bowl. 繼續閱讀

The FoodI ordered the Penang Prawn Bee Hoon which was delicious and the soup was fillled with a rich, concentrated prawny taste. The Prawn Bee Hoon consists of ingredients like medium sized prawns, sliced lean pork, kang kong and bean sprouts and it was garnished with lots of fried spring onions. The bee hoon was fantastic when absorbed with the rich prawn taste soup! The PriceReasonably priced at $3.50 which is value for moneyOverallI will definitely come back again to try the dry version and highly recommended to try this! 繼續閱讀

Penang Delights is a hawker stall located at S11 in Ang Mo Kio selling Penang Prawn Mee, Penang Lor Mee, Prawn Dry Mee and Pork Ribs Mee. Judging by the Lianhe Wanbao 联合晚报 and Channel U articles, this stalls seems to be famous for its Penang Prawn Mee and Penang Lor Mee. If you have difficult locating the stall, its just next to Rasa Sayang Western Food 啦莎沙央西餐. Although there was a queue at the stall, they cook and serve the noodles quite fast. Before I knew it, it was my turn to order. The prawns were fresh, firm and sweet. Partially de-shelled, with its head and tail still intact. A nice gesture as this made it easier to enjoy the prawns. The prawn broth was tasty and had an intense umami flavour that could only be achieved after boiling the prawn shells, heads and pork bones for long hours. However, it was not exactly mind blowing. Overall, the Penang Prawn Mee was quite decent, but not the best around.Detailed review: http://foodiefc.blogspot.sg/2013/02/penang-delights-prawn-mee-lor-mee-ang.html 繼續閱讀
