Went Junction10 to buy some groceries and at the same time buy dinner. Since there isn't much choice available at the food court, I went to Penyet Town. Bought Ayam Penyet Town set which comes with a drumstick, a small beancurd & a small tempe. The chicken has a crispy skin and the meat is tender. Beancurd and tempe is quite sweet. Sambal is also spicy & nice. Also bought a portion of Sotong Bakar (grilled squid) and it's nicely grilled, not chewy.

For the full reviews and photos, visit http://makanarts.com/2013/05/26/penyet-town-junction-10/The Ayam Penyet Town tasted different from the other ayam penyet that I’ve eaten. It tasted more savoury and crispier. The meat inside was less captivating though. The Ayam Bakar (grilled chicken) tasted mildly sweet and best accompanied by the sauce given with it which makes it slightly more sweeter and spicy at the same time. The Tahu Telor is a fried beancurd omelette served with shrimp sauce that looked similar to tahu goreng. It is mildly crisp on the outside and tasted soft on the inside. The shrimp sauce which has peanuts inside is spicy as well.

Located in one of the most obscure corners of the northen part of Singapore in Junction10, formerly Ten Mile Junction, is now home to Penyet Town, a restaurant which specialises in Indonesian fare at food court prices.I ordered Ayam Penyet Town, which is the signature item. Here you get one piece of chicken with some fried items, vegetables and chilli, which is $6. The chicken is pretty tender, pulls apart easily and seems to taste fine but could have been stronger in it’s flavour. The fried taupok was soft but lacked crispiness. The chilli was just spicy enough within my ability; at least it did not set me off with a fiery tongue. Our Tahu Telor came slightly after the mains which was a bit odd especially since we had waited slightly around 20 minutes since we made our order. I never tasted the shrimp paste as it had peanuts in it, but the fried beancurd was rather similar to the ones on my Ayam Penyet Town. The dish was mainly quite uplifting due to the fried egg that gave it a very nice fragrant flavour, or the dish would have turned out rather bland. My friend did comment that the sauce is quite spicy though. There seems to be a hidden charge of $1 per plate of rice which was not stated nor informed during our order. Not sure if it is stated in the menu though. For more photos and the full review, please visit: http://jiaksimipng.wordpress.com/2013/07/04/penyet-town-junction10/

There are not many choice of food to choose when i am at junction 10.Went to Penyet town which is famous for their ayam penyet but i choose to eat tahu telor instead. When the tahu telor is place on the table i can smell the egg fragrant.Initially,i thought that the complimentary sauce look so harmless as the light brown colour look like peanut sauce.I poured all the sauce on the tahu telor and regretted because it is very spicy that i need to drink two cup of ice water. The sauce which taste like a mixed of peanut, chilli padi and rojak sauce. On the other hand,I have to give a thumb up to the tahu telor because the outer layer of the egg is very crispy and it is soft on the inside.
