When come to prata, Prata Wala is definitely one of my favourite venue to grab some really nice and crispy pratas that are delicious and with quality. Besides I also enjoyed their ginger milk tea which is full of the ginger fragrant and the milk tea is thick and creamy, very appetizing. Restaurant is cosy and quite comfortable. Service is quite fast as well. For less than $5 per meal, is quite cheap!

Stopped over at Prata Wala after shopping for pet food at Pet Lovers Corner Tampines Mall.Decided to spice up my late breakfast by ordering Thosai instead of Roti Prata.A plate of huge plain thosai priced at S$3.00 with three selections of chutney right before my eyes. From left to rightottukadalai chutney cooked with grated coconut, roasted channa dal and tamarind juice and grinded into a coarse paste. There was too much tamarind added to this chutney which makes the taste very sour.Tomato Chutney cooked with urad dal, red chilli powder, onions, mustard seeds and chopped tomato cubes. Mildly sour but taste better than the coconut chutney. My favourite was the Garam Masala (literally known as Hot Mixture). Ingredients included for this dip includes cinnamon, cumin, cloves, corianger, nutmeg, black pepper, fennel and curry leaves. This chutney has more intense spices though its looks fiery but the taste is pleasant and not too spicy hot. The concentration chutney complemented well with every bite of the thosai.Service was good. I asked one of the male server about the various types of chutneys and he explained to me briefly the ingredients for each flavour. Pretty educational experience learning more of the Indian food preparation.

I was craving for indian food today, so I went to Prata Wala at Tampines Mall to try out their naan. I queued at the food counter to place my order. The counter staff asked me if I want to try their Tandoori naan set, it has two pieces of tandoori chicken, a few pieces of naan, a small scoop of nasi briyani, a piece of cracker and some sauces: curry, beans, green menthol. There was a side dish of vegetables consist of brinjal and green chilli.A number was given and the food was served to me shortly.I like their naan, it was soft and warm when served. Their tandoori chicken was the salty version, I prefer the sweeter version.Briyani was tasteless.I ordered a cup of teh alia(ginger tea) to go along with my set.Total cost of this meal is S$9.90(tandoori set) + S$1.80(teh alia). I find the meal expensive because the tandoori chicken pieces were not very big.

i had dinner at prata wala. The prata there is kind of expensive as compared to those at the coffee shops. I ordered their egg prata, it was really large piece though. The egg was in the centre. The prata was freshly made so it was very hot and crispy when it was served. I love the buttery fragrant of the prata. It was served with a portion of curry. The curry was very tasty. It was a little watery but the flavours of the curry was there. The curry smell was rather overpowering in a good way. It was not too spicy too, tasted sweetish and sourish. The prata is also very chewy, just the way I like it. For $2, I think it is pretty worth it for its size.
