The last time i came here was very very long ago when the place had just opened and its really nice to see that the place retains its charms of being a waterfront dining. It is much more crowded now but I must say the service, food and ambience is still tops!We had the smoked salmon salad for starters and even though it is more expensive than your normal salad the salmon portion was good and taste was very fresh. I went back to prive cafe again because I was craving for their ambience once again, it was peaceful and relaxing with good food. I ordered their Penne Alla Carbonara at $20, it tasted slightly creamier but was alright to me. There were pieces of chicken chunks, bacon and button mushrooms and they were just enough for every spoonful of penne. I went in the afternoon and opted for the outdoor seats because the weather was good. The ambience is really relaxing and is a excellent place for a Saturday afternoon. After hanging around, we decided to grab some dessert so we headed to Prive Bakery Cafe. We tried Hazelnut Praline Royale and Rich Chocolate Cake. The hazelnut praline royale not really appealing but taste good. It consisted of layers of chocolate truffle, sponge and hazelnut. The chocolate truffle was smooth, mousse like and not overly sweet. I went to Prive Bakery Cafe with my friend during a public holiday and we were so thankful we had made a reservation as the place was literally brimming with people! SUPER CROWDED!
