QQ Rice

Saw the mini queue in this shop and decided to buy an item to try it. Here only sells super healthy rice and I really appreciate the great effort from this stall boss. The shop is very clean and restaurant is bright and cooling. Service was alright but not super friendly. Bought their prepacked Gua Zai Meat rice (at $2.00 per piece) which is quite cheap and love those clean and tidy packaging. QQ rice, I'm here again! I had their vegetarian onigiri. First I like their purple rice,it's very crunchy and QQ. For the emperor veg and gua zai meat, I find that it tasted quite the same. I don't really like it, the veg inside was crunchy but I don't really like marinated veg. There's a weird smell, then inside will have some fake meat,it look like tuna but when eaten it tasted very powdery which I don't like. I still prefer their bak kwa rice. …查看更多

Apple tea ($1.30)It is quite light in taste but refreshing.Purple Rice Soyabean ($2.30)It has more of the rice taste than the soya bean. Tastes not bad, feel very healthy. For a price of $4.40, you get a rice ball with 5 different fillings.There are 5 choices of rice, and I select Mixed Grain.For the fillings, I select braised egg, chicken mushroom, Taiwan chicken sausage, burdock and emperor vegetable which need a top up of additional $0.30 as it is a premium item. Health conscious people would love this stall, it is also a very convenient meal choice, as you could just buy and eat along the way. They have several types of rice for you to choose from, and I decided on purple rice (something special). You could also choose the types of filling that you want to add, among some are egg, floss, mushroom, veggies, etc, really healthy. Taste wise, couldn't complain much. Was on my way home after a movie at NEX shopping mall and walked through the bus interchange and walked past this stall. The friendly staff was promoting their beancurd and I saw having walked past here quite a few times, I was quite interested in trying it out. The lady introduced their product to me and told me how it was different from other beancurds because they don't use coffee-mate in their products, and is purely from soya beans. I decided to try it out so bought one home. Beancurd was really silky and "melted" once it reaches my mouth, a really pleasant feeling as I tasted each mouthful. Have never heard of this brand before and it is definitely comparable to the much hyped Lao Ban Soya Beancurd. QQ Soya Beancurd is not too sweet and I can really taste the soya beans in it with every mouth. They also offer beancurd in almond flavour and I will definitely try it out next time! Service wise, I think the people are really friendly and they exude a positive attitude, always smiling to potential customers even though most people just walk past without looking at them.
