The restaurant is located at the first floor of a office building. With its high ceiling, traditional looking furnitures, dim lights and huge range of wines around, the place smells of class and has an atas and old school feel to it. The place is not crowded, with a cosy feel around. As everyone is having fruit juice, I decide to join in and have carrot juice. We start the meal with some bread, served with olive dip. The bread is quite crusty but a bit hard to handle. The bread and dip is refillable. We are served fried risotto ball as an amuse-bouche. I would prefer the ball been served pipping hot with melted cheese inside and crispy crust outside. The sauce served with it has a rather cheese taste.Risotto allo scoglio ($30++)Mixed Seafood RisottoThe staff has thoughtfully served an additional plate for me to put the unwanted shellfish shells. The seafood is quite fresh and the rice is well cooked. The serving is a bit too big for me that I could barely finish it.Piccata di pollo ($28++)Chicken Breast Piccata with Spinach and Roasted PotatoesI like that the lemon wedge is served wrapped up and tied with a red ribbon. It enables one to squeeze the lemon juice out without dirtying one's fingers. The chicken is quite tender and flavourful.Panna cotta ai frutti di bosco ($12++)Panna Cotta with Fruits of the ForestThe panna cotta is quite rich and milky in taste. It balances sour and sweet taste of the raspberry sauce and fruits that served with it.Overall the food is great and in sizeable serving, but priced on the high side. But I have entertainer mobile application which allows 1-for-1 main courses and allows me to have quite an amount of saving. At first I do have a bit of problems getting the staff to allow the whole table, but all end well in the end. The service is not bad, although I wish that could have been done to clear the bread crumbs on the table. 繼續閱讀

This year, we decided to try out Ristorante Amarone for our Valentine's Day dinner, since I pass by this elegant Italian restaurant pretty often, and have heard good things about it. The moment we stepped in, the crew all greeted us warmly and this impeccable service remained throughout the rest of our meal, which was rather impressive. Chef Domenico and Director Wilson came over personally to ensure that everything was lovely for us - a very nice gesture that brought smiles to the patrons' faces instantly. We had the Valentine's Day sets - my starter was the Eggplant Medallion with Quail Egg & Black Truffle - a combination of al my favorite items. The lovely swish when one bites into the juicy eggplant was present, before the teeth made further contact with the bouncy but soft mushroom. The quail egg provided a beautiful balance to the heavier flavor of the truffle, and adds a dash of brightness to the dark dish. For main course, The Beau had the Pork Tenderloin with Porcini Cream Sauce. The pork fillets were served in 3 neat slices. The pork was not exceedingly succulent, but do count on a good crunch to the solid slabs of meat. The creamy mushroom sauce gave the pork steak a tasty sweetness. My main course was the Duck Breast with Balsamic Vinegar and Fig Marmalade Sauce. The duck breast slices were incredibly tender in this case, giving way to the knife easily, and melting in the mouth in a scrumptious heap of saltiness, sourness and sweet assortment of flavors. For desserts, The Beau had the Mango Gelato - a very refreshing dessert with the right amount of tartness to it, but mango's strong aroma was intact definitely. Paired with lovely berries, this dessert was definitely a cool welcome to the savoury dishes we had for dinner. For full review and more photographs, please feel free to visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2015/02/valentines-dinner-at-ristorante-amarone.html 繼續閱讀

Good:- A quiet and romantic ambience for couples.- Ordered Tagliatelle Amarone, which combines homemade pasta with Duck Ragu and the taste really good. The texture of the Tagliatelle was perfect, leaving you wanting for more. The shredded duck meat was soft and delicious too.- Also ordered Risotto ai Funghi, which taste great. Truly italian style.- Plenty of staff around to ensure that if you need something, they will attend to youNot-so-good:- As this is fine-dining, expect the portions to be small than usual.Overall:Great food! Will return in future for special occassions. 繼續閱讀

My friends and I went on a weeknight. It wasn't very crowded which was good for chit chatting. I had a crab pasta. It was very well done and the serving for the crab meat was pretty decent. My friend had the seafood risoto. It was really flavourful. Usually for me, I wouldn't be able to finish a whole plate of risoto as I would get sick of it after awhile. But it was not the case for this. We had the creme brulee as dessert. Thumbs up for this! 繼續閱讀
